They're gonna need to do some serious recruiting if the traitors are going to have a chance of winning. At this point I'd want Harriet on my team, Reece might be a good recruitment shout as well but idk if he'd be able to hold his nerve.

See tbf, I think when you're in that with 20+ people, a few days in with no real evidence you're going to be relying on gut feeling and intuition a lot. Given her background/training she probably thinks her feelings towards someone have more merit to them as she'll maybe pick up on things others don't. How many people do we all encounter every day that we think "hmm I'm not sure about them, there's something off there", our brains just naturally pick up on traits that we maybe don't like in a person subconsciously - I can understand in the context of this game that you might then think that = traitor. That kind of ties into the unconscious bias mentioned before. A lot of discriminatory ideology is rooted in negative stereotyping. While today people are more likely to challenge those ideas, there was a time not that long ago when they were treated as common “facts,” especially within older generations many of us were brought up around. People can absorb microaggressions and assumptions without even realising it. That doesn’t automatically make someone racist — it means there may be things to unlearn that they aren’t yet aware of. I think that can easily play a role in this game when people are deciding who they see as trustworthy. Everyone tends to favour certain types of people — whether based on gender, background, where they’re from, what they do, etc. We usually gel faster with people who feel familiar, and that can create a false sense of knowing them. “They can’t be a traitor because they’re like me and I’m faithful.” People often fear or distrust what they don’t understand.

Iconic, I couldn't stop laughing at the expressions on Rachel and Stephens faces 😂 I'm scared for Reece though, I think what he's been through the last couple of episodes has been brutal and we're now at the point where he probably won't be banished right now so he may get murdered if the suspicion has died down a bit. I'm assuming the shield in the chest just protected him from banishment and not the murder?

Icon behaviour from her, she's quickly shot up in my list of favourites after that episode I do like Reece but if he isn't murdered he'll probably be banished soon. I don't think Fiona will want to murder him as she was trying to fuel the suspicion on him, if he's still in the game he's still someone they could frame, Stephen will likely want to keep Maz so that just leaves Sam, I guess it will come down to who they think they can pin it on the most. Fiona felt a bit anti-climatic as the secret traitor reveal, I think maybe because most people had worked it out by then, I thought she was going to be iconic but she's kinda annoying me a little but we'll see, it's definitely going to be Rachel vs Fiona and dare I say I actually would rather Rachel won that, I'm warming to her more than I thought I would

Any last minute guesses?! I'm starting to doubt myself and think it might be someone left field like Jessie - I think she would be great as a traitor actually so I wouldn't be mad at that. I think it will be someone people suspect though as surely the producers would want to leave little clues here and there to give the public something to discuss. It wouldn't make much sense to have it be someone with not a lot of airtime

I feel like when they don't know what to do with her next they just give her a mental breakdown, I also feel like they're using this as "comic relief" which is a bit tone-deaf, like mental illness isn't something to laugh at - maybe I'm taking it wrong but it's just kinda icky to me I so can't be arsed with this anymore but I'm in the habit of watching it on my lunchbreaks at work so I'll probably still watch it, this is the most I've struggled with it in a very long time They need to bring back someone like Shirley or Janine, they should bring back Shirley with Tina's daughter, even if the latter was recasted, it's been long enough they could essentially reinvent her if they wanted to. I think all rob was pointing out is you are talking about another song contest that is not BJSC in the BJSC forum and the tags do make it look like you were trying to get traffic from here to enter the other contest you're hosting, there was no criticism of your banner or the reason you're hosting it?? I think if you have queries like that maybe direct them towards the mods of the forum you're hosting something in first or even the mod lounge/help section so there's no confusion with why something is being posted in another topic etc 🤷🏼‍♀️ AI is a slippery slope, you use it for one thing, then another and suddenly you're reliant on it. In terms of using it to create graphics, I don't see the harm in the context of this site where nobody is actively profiting from it, it's not a request to replicate anything already pre-existing, if it's to bring an idea or concept to life that you wouldn't know how to do yourself then sure, I'm not gonna judge for that. Like Addy's airline images, it's already clear he knew exactly what he wanted etc. I think people argue that something you're getting AI to do art wise could be put to an actual artist to commission but that's really not something that needs to be done here imo, unless Bray is gonna start charging for his paint balls 😂 In the contest I hosted I really wanted to illustrate my own tarot cards as I do have that skillset however at the time I didn't have a laptop so I couldn't use the software I'd need, I also didn't have time. I didn't use AI though! I ended up purchasing a digital download of a deck someone had illustrated themselves and put on Etsy #supportsmallbusinesses!! I made the gifs myself and whatever else I had though 🤭

What's sold it for me on Harriet is the storytelling element, barrister v barrister, traitor v traitor etc - Now that Hugo is away it means she can join the other traitors which she probably would want to do before they work out her identity themselves and have her murdered/banished, the longer it goes on the easier it would be for them to guess who the secret traitor is based on who is being shortlisted.

Stephen is going to bomb as soon as there's more heat on him though, he went into complete panic mode when he realised he was under suspicion for being in the same room as Ben, Rachel is definitely the backbone of the traitors but we'll see if that's still the case next week when hopefully we have another strong woman in the turret

I absolutely would be recruiting Harriet after that if she's not already the secret traitor, her, Amanda and Fiona are my favourites at the moment. I'm still not convinced who the secret traitor is but I'm still thinking Harriet or Fiona. If it's not a woman then potentially Sam but assuming the person we're seeing in the red cloak is the actual secret traitor then it does seem to be quite a tall man so maybe it is Ross, I don't know 😅

Honestly it's impressive, someone compared the handwriting on the shortlist note against a shopping list Harriet had posted on her Instagram 😂😂 it was quite similar tbf

Amanda made a comment about James having a difficult night previously which is why she didn't want to take his shield but half the cast was up for murder, she wouldn't have known James was on the shortlist unless she was the secret traitor so I'm suspicious of her I'm convinced Hugo and Harriet are either siblings or married and it seems like Ella and Ross are a couple based on people snooping their Instagrams where they appear to have been to the same hotel on holiday at the same time and have liked posts on LinkedIn etc

I'm also anti AI when it comes to songs being entered here, I just feel like it's against the spirit of what BJSC stands for, it encourages people to look for a "one off hit" that caters to certain niches a lot of BJSC participants favour and it's not really giving artists a chance of discovery. Half the fun of BJSC is loving a song and then taking a deep dive into that artists back catalogue for more gems, I think they should be vetoed but if not then I won't be likely to point the song knowing it's AI.
