  1. Day 25 Fall Out Boy - We Didn't Start The Fire This is a modern take on the Billy Joel song, it's a cover essentially but with updated lyrics
  2. Day 24 Blondie - Maria Wanted to go with Heart of Glass but it was only remixed in '95, it was released much earlier so we'll go with Maria x
  3. I think she's the type of artist that does have something for everyone, you don't need to love every album she puts out to say you're a fan. She just makes good pop music but each album does have a different style so it's only natural some people will prefer some over others. I love her but I'm not a massive fan of Folklore, Evermore and The Tortured Poets Department, there's only a couple of songs from each that I actually like and go back to. I think she's so popular because she's managed to strike the balance and stay relevant enough to maintain fans who will listen to her for nostalgia value but still have some kind of interest in what she's doing currently whilst also getting new/younger fans on board and lets face it, she's a good business woman as well, she's making the right kind of moves to amplify herself.
  4. Day 23 Hayley Williams - Sudden Desire Paramore are v much still alive and kicking but Hayley's solo projects deserve some recognition x
  5. You said I'd be fighting for the win!!! I was trusting you Uhsting :(
  6. I've just uncovered a pop justice account I made in 2015 that I've never used, I've replied to two topics and I'm very confused, I don't like that their links aren't underlined actually but it does look very slick and is mobile friendly. I can't bloody find anything on it though so I don't think I'll be making regular appearances
  7. Seize The Power is gooooood BUT there are better Yonaka songs from that era (I'm re-obsessed with Greedy) Every Taahino entry is a surprise underperformer x Chinchilla should have done better for Askorza, same with Brat from New Lexico, Gravedigger for Aeroche and Green Honda for Klum I don't remember any of those positions but they didn't win so
  8. Me lines!! They're gone!

  21. Day 18 Taylor Swift - Speak Now
  22. Outnumbered and Friday Night Dinner are the best British sitcoms also btw OH NO DERRY GIRLS!!!!!
  23. My holy trinity is Brooklyn Nine Nine, Schitts Creek and Modern Family. I haven't even seen all of Modern Family (I was working on it then Cameron cancelled his Disney+ subscription that I was sponging from :kink: ) but I love it a lot already and I've seen a lot of clips from it as well that confirm it never dipped in quality. Brooklyn Nine Nine was the first sitcom I was OBSESSED with, I used to watch sitcoms as time fillers really rather than shows to be invested in but that changed the game completely. I think it encapsulates millennial humour perfectly and it's the kind of show you can watch a million times and still find it as funny as it was the first time around. The key to a good sitcom is having a solid group of amazing characters and B99 does that, there's not a single weak link in the cast. Schitts Creek is another major comfort show for me, I rewatch is a lot, especially these days because again it's just never not funny. I guess you could say it's millennial humour but a more niche off branch like it's just silly but that's so up my street. Name a more iconic character than Moira Rose??? For the most influential show I was torn between Friends and the Simpsons but went with Friends because it really is the blueprint for how to make a good sitcom, it's still funny today despite it's age. How I Met Your Mother is literally just a replica but a non funny replica with even more unlikable characters. The only real unlikable characters in Friends is Ross but he kinda has to be I guess  Ted in HIMYM is supposed to be this nice guy who's just unlucky in love but he's awful, I might be wrong but it's clear to me he was written by a man who was trying too hard to appeal to the female gaze but didn't have a clue what that was beyond the version he had in his head  But yea I didn't put the Simpsons as influential because it's essentially untouchable, people have tried with the likes of Family Guy, American Dad, Futurama etc but they're no where near the level the Simpsons is at. I think probably the most recent animated series that comes close is maybe Big Mouth but I've not seen all of that so idk

I don't even watch Hollyoaks but the JJ and Frankie storyline has been popping up on my tiktok and I'm hooked on it, the girl who plays Frankie is phenomenal, she is what makes it so compelling - I don't know if it's enough to commit me to watching this regularly as well but I'll definitely be keeping tabs on this to see how it plays out

I take it you've not seen today's episode or peeked any spoilers? You may want to edit your post once you've seen it :kink: It's an extremely important storyline, I was expecting it to feel over familiar as similar ones have been done before but the context of this is something that's not spoken about enough, I have to laugh though at how they keep referring to him as a young/younger man when surely he's not far off Yolande's age?
