  2. I've heard rumours that the Swae Lee featuring track sounds big! Looking forward to this album.
  3. Lots of very good songs been mentioned so far! Here's one more of mine: zI339U6GS9s Really reminds me of Euro 2004 in Portugal, the first tournament I was immersed by.
  4. Forrest Gump
  5. Yeah 2003 was a hot summer and there were so many R&B anthems that came to dominate the zeitgeist that year! Off the top of my head, there was Ignition, Crazy In Love, Get Busy, In da Club, Never Leave You....
  6. To celebrate the arrival of the warmer weather, I want to know people's go-to R&B/Urban anthems when the sun arrives! Could even turn this into a song contest dependent on interest! My #1 go-to song would be: vPLXEXXq_k8 Stone-cold classic that only sounds right when the sun is shining! A few others would be: Snoop Dogg ft. Pharell & Uncle Charlie Wilson - Beautiful Kendrick Lamar - Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe Gyptian - Hold Yuh Busta Rhymes ft. Mariah Carey - I Know What You Want Calvin Harris ft. Frank Ocean & Migos - Slide Fetty Wap - Trap Queen French Montana ft. Swae Lee - Unforgettable Blu Cantrell ft. Sean Paul - Breathe Ja Rule - Livin' It Up
  7. Not forgetting a new J. Cole album! The Naughty Boy song doesn't sound like a hit.
  8. Intrigued what this'll do for the career of Ray BLK... I rate her, but her last single was a bit disappointing. 'My Hood' remains her best offering.
  9. Promising link-up!

Was just coming to post this, hyped for this! His albums are normally solid, really liked Deja Vu and Neighbours from the last one amongst others. His favourite of mine is 'Power Trip' though.

  12. Good to see Migos on the rise, the video to 'Walk It, Talk It' has really enhanced my enjoyment of the song!

It was still a huge festival hit, even if it has been overshadowed by 'That's Not Me'. Still, I'd argue it was the song that kick-started the mainstream grime revival.

One of the best things about this song is the referencing of this: OHZRHEJHS2k My tune back in early 2014.
  15. Not sure why many people would! It's been growing on me, but I can see it having a fast burn-out rate like similar songs. It does sound like it will be a significant hit though.
  16. Not a fan of Nicki Minaj so not rushing to hear either of her songs, but good additions elsewhere. Nice to see a shake-up of the A-List with great promotions for AJ Tracey, Loski, Rich the Kid and Shakka. Nice to see Nines and WSTRN added too, and liking that Maleek Berry track (even if it does sound similar to his others). Wonder if 'LOVE.' is being pushed as a single, otherwise that is a very late add! Same with SZA.

The only song I know this week is the Ashanti one, which sounds like a summer anthem.

I really liked 'Headlines' when I was younger and learnt all the words. In fairness the whole Top 10 is incredible, so don't mind who wins. 'Over' is underrated though and I do see the 'God's Plan' resemblance.
  19. Hyped to see this become a Top 40 hit! Liking this a lot, my favourite Nines song so far (although 'Can't Blame Me' and 'High Roller' were also enjoyable).

I think the sample here ('Still Not A Player') works well, but I agree that some of the lyrics are questionable. I do like his energy though and would like to see more UK rap hits like this. I do prefer 'Screw & Brew' though.

This sounds good coming out the car speakers on a sunny day!

Yes I think its perfect timing for a Tinashe rate! Start whenever you're ready.

    God's Plan easy.
  24. I think it sounds underground and catchy... hope it does a Barking/Jumanji!
  25. 15HzsXTTjo0 Another week, another UK rap song looking to break the Top 40. I wouldn't have pegged Nines to be on the verge of commercial success, but he did have a Top 5 album last year. However, he never struck me as a singles artist until now. Produced by Steel Banglez, 'I See You Shining' is doing well on Spotify, in the midweek chart update and has received spot plays from 1Xtra and Capital XTRA. This strikes me as a catchy enough to crossover but not commercial enough to instigate 'sell-out' claims - the perfect medium for any underground rapper.
