Quite like the new Sam Smith song, good to have him back.

BBC Radio 1Xtra Playlist
Great adds there for Bugzy Malone, Jay Z, WSTRN & Yo Gotti! Pleased both AJ Tracey and Lotto Boyzz are up to the A List, although I'm over 'No Don' now and have been rinsing their follow up 'Birmingham' So many long runners on there now too... Pine & Ginger, Spirit, Young Dumb & Broke, Aladdin, Yu Zimme, Bestie. Few of these need to go soon.

Hardy Caprio ft. One Acen - Unsigned
The guy who does the hook on this, One Acen, has dropped his new single this week on 1Xtra and it's another catchy effort in the vein of J Hus/Yxng Bane! The DJ said he should be aiming for Top 20 with this - a tad ambition but it would undeniably sit well on radio. owcywRjw1jo

Not3s - Aladdin
No interest in this? Been a pretty big summer record, wouldn't surprise me to see it receive the 'Addison Lee' treatment and be pushed later in the year.
-
Jorja Smith x Preditah - On My Mind
Liking this a lot right now! Good decision for her to release something more upbeat - her material, while high in quality, was becoming a bit samey. This will end up B-List on R1, A-Listed on 1Xtra, played on KISS and Capital Xtra but fail to crack the Top 40 I reckon.

Future - FUTURE & HNDRXX
Cheers man, don't have access myself! Hearing this for the first time, pretty standard 2017 rap song. Won't do anything chartwise, but nice to see a solo Future song pushed instead of relying on the Weeknd/Chris Brown/Nicki Minaj collabs.

I see there's much less lamenting over the quality and diversity of the chart now ;)

Tinie Tempah feat. Zara Larsson - Girls Like
But it's Tinie Tempah's song?

Radio 1 Discussion
Never expected Yu Zimme to be a TOTW! Big dancehall record, but not mainstream like Soundbwoy or My Number 1. 1Xtra have playlisted it since June too.

World Cup Qualifying
Some great outsiders look like they could qualify... Egypt, Burkina Faso, Peru, Panama are all in qualification spots as it stands! Would be such a story if Syria manage to get there too.

It's an exaggeration to say it bothers me, just find it funny remembering what she was like on those shows. Especially when you can relate it to people in your own life! Probably won't ever hear the song anyway, but fair play if it brings some diversity to the chart.

Megan McKenna? The insufferable and unstable one from Ex on the Beach?

I love Chris Brown's music but I can admit he is a pretty terrible human being.

Bruno Mars • 24k Magic
'Chunky' is a jam so glad it'll be the next single!

World Cup Qualifying
France will win the World Cup next summer I reckon.
-
J Hus - Common Sense
Good to see I was on it with this prediction!
-
Lil Uzi Vert - XO TOUR Llif3
One of the undeniable songs of Summer 2017 I think, probably end up being one of the defining rap songs of the year too.
-
Yxng Bane - Rihanna
Yeah hopefully Yxng Bane can have similar success to J Hus in time, the potential is certainly there. And he stole the show on 'Bestie' lets be honest, he's the main reason that has been such a big hit. Not too sure how 'Rihanna' will do, but it's already proving popular on YouTube, Spotify and urban radio so wouldn't rule anything out.

Chris Brown, Lil Uzi Vert and Miguel for me this week!!

If you like the songs, what difference does its chart position make? Couple of people need to get some perspective I think...

Lil Uzi Vert - Luv Is Rage 2
The Way Life Goes is a banger!
-
Stefflon Don ft. French Montana - Hurtin' Me
She looks so fit in that video. Very Nicki Minaj.

Logic - 1-800-273-8255 (feat. Alessia Cara & Khalid)
I think you are missing the point if you think this is the only way of raising suicide awareness. If you think the concept would be missed entirely by making the song more personable.

Logic - 1-800-273-8255 (feat. Alessia Cara & Khalid)
Yes but suicide is a deeply personal subject and I honestly do not believe the lyrics portray suicide as personal. They seem overreaching whereas I think if a rapper was talking about their own suicidal thoughts it would come across more authentic and relatable than this does.
