  1. Really hope this can be true!
  2. I don't mind The Script to be honest, quite a few of their songs I find myself humming if I hear them on the radio. 'For The First Time' was my favourite.
  3. In my opinion, the Maleek Berry song is his best since 'Kontrol' which was a huge underground hit last year. The Kojo Funds song is slower than his previous efforts and sounds perfect for this time of year!
  4. So many great adds this week! The Jay Z song (I would have preferred 'Caught Their Eyes or 'Bam' as the single choice though), Alkaline, Duke Dumont, Kojo Funds, Lethal Bizzle, Maleek Berry and Skepta tracks are all on point. Lots of dead weight removed too.
  5. Production sounds very Naughty Boy and the whole song is typical early 10's but that is honestly no bad thing! Great to hear, loving the proposed featured artists on the album too. One thing I'd say is that it sounds more breakbeat than D&B.
  6. Fixed for you mate...
  7. I say lets have more Eminem songs in the top 100.

Amber is the type of girl I've been involved with most to be honest. The song by Kem/Marcel/Chris last night was everything! Want (Muggy) Mike to go back in, convinced he slept with Jess still.
  9. The Bryson Tiller song of the same name is much better.
  10. Bestie and No Don on the rise...
  11. I guess the Lil Uzi Vert song is their equivalent right now.

Exactly, all the people listening to 'Wild Thoughts' right now don't care about the lyrical content of Bryson Tiller's rap. It didn't stop 'Blurred Lines' becoming one of the biggest songs of the decade. I don't think 'fragile male egos' comes into it at all. 'You Don't Know Me' was a huge hit across both genders for example.

If this is truly the case (and I can see the argument) then why do girls love these songs too? Like in theory you would be right, then in the past I have seen plenty of girls getting down to songs like Loyal, Freak Of The Week, Trap Queen etc. and it makes me think the lyrical content doesn't matter to most people. It is probably a lot simpler than is being made out and some of the examples you have used such as Crying In The Club, Ciao Adios and Be The One have done very well already. It could just be the case that the big artists right now, with some notable exceptions, are male. Drake, Bieber, The Weeknd, Kendrick etc. Not without mentioning the 1D boys all releasing solo material and the explosion of Grime and UK rap.
  14. I get strong 2009 vibes from this for some reason... Not in the same league as 'Run Up', 'Light It Up' or 'Lean On' but it has grown on me to become a decent listen. Very autopilot though.
  15. Even here its on the radio all the time, a real crossover hit.

Didn't have high hopes for this, but it's surprisingly decent! Caught Their Eyes and Bam in particular.

    Behave.
  18. Great to see 'Spirit' and 'Screw & Brew' placed straight on the A-List, two of my favourite UK rap tracks of the year! Elsewhere, liking the adds for Chip, Kendrick, Khalid & Travis Scott.
  19. The fact this is above 'Wild Thoughts' in America says how huge this is! Critically acclaimed too, sounds so good in the sun.
  20. Didn't expect this from MJ Cole!

Rihanna is doing more than fine with her urban releases right now, no need to change!
  22. uRNoLOHiUo0 Just playlisted by R1, no surprises for guessing the sample used! Not huge on Bugzy Malone half the time, but this is a certified banger - a mix of old school Garage and new school Grime. The Manc MC has been big for two years now and this could help him crossover.

The snippet sounds very promising actually. Loved him around 14/15 time, would support a comeback!
  24. Rangers... No words can express how hilarious this is.

pgCb6Fg56YA Just been added to the UK Hot Hits playlist on Spotify, this is a song I've been a big fan of for a few months now! I'm trying to work out if this samples Trey Songz's 'Na Na' in the chorus, but this is another fine example of blending UK rap and Afrobeat influences from Birmingham duo LottoBoyzz. I'd say this was more similar to a 'Dun Talkin' than an 'Addison Lee' but I think any fans of J Hus here would appreciate this. Was playlisted on 1Xtra for a couple of months in April/May time and I'd be very pleased if this received a proper mainstream push as it was one of those songs I'd hear at uni parties all the time!
