I really hope Leigh-Anne doesn’t get that #3 spot. Perrie reached #3 with 15,243 copies sold. Jade reached #3 with 23,263 copies sold. It would feel unfair if Leigh-Anne could claim “All Little Mix girls went #3 in the UK!” when she’s only sold around... 9k. Especially the position is boosted by multiple physical variants rather than genuine demand or streaming support. Yes, Perrie had variants too but she had two singles that actually connected a little with the public (Forget About Us + If He Wanted To He Would) There was at least some interest. A #3 built almost entirely on variants and minimal streaming wouldn’t carry the same weight. What would bother me the most is the narrative. If all three girls end up peaking at #3, the general public will just remember that they all had the same level of success when that’s clearly not the case. Jade is the only one whose album actually gained some traction and had visible impact. Perrie and Leigh-Anne’s projects didn’t really connect in the same way, and that difference matters. A chart position alone doesn’t tell the full story.

The fact Leigh-Anne is not even top 3 with several months of preorders + multiple variants is very worrying. This week has been pretty quiet in terms of competition. There haven’t been any major album releases to speak of. And yet, despite all the efforts being made to boost sales — another variant added to her store and even a raffle for a chance to win a personal call with her if you purchase the album through her website — she still can’t manage to secure a Top 3 spot.

Olivia Dean will definitely get Artist Of The Year. JADE won Best Pop last year because it was a fan voted category which is not the case this year. I think JADE can't win those prices this year but it's very cool to see her getting 4 nominations for that ceremony. Sad to not see her getting the Album Of The Year's nomination though. She deserved that one.
