Pass Out is an absolutely amazing, and classic, single. So of course Buzzjack would vote it out. Hilarious that that talentless oaf Katy Perry is still on this list - surely, surely, Buzzjack doesn't like this woman? A woman who wasn't only at the back of the queue when talent and star quality was being handed out. She was at the back of the queue in the wrong shop, love her.

:lol: I know what you mean... I love that cello sound.... kind of ominous sounding, and one she's used before (Ninth Wave).... One thing's for sure, she picked a terrible week to release this album - it's likely to be her lowest ever charting album, I reckon..... this week sees massive releases from Rihanna, err... Westlife, GaGa's remix CD and I'm sure there's something else, too..... :(

I love that in this era of desperate media whores, we have an artist like Kate Bush who simply refuses to take part, does everything completely on her own terms and lets her music do her talking. The more I play 50 Words, the more I think the genius standout track is Snowed In At Wheeler Street. Could be Elton John's career-best vocal... And the underlying creepiness of it gives me goosebumps every time. Snowflake, too, is a perfect album opener. Can music really conjure up feelings and images as vividly as this? What a talent to have.... 50 Words For Snow is my album of the year.... and I'm pretty sure it's an album I'll play throughout my lifetime. I absolutely adore it.

The appalling drake and Rihanna single gets my vote - I'm seriously puzzled Jason Derulo is still in this competition, too - surely THE worst male 'artist' around now. He makes even Bruno Mars seem interesting.

I've never been a fan of PJ Harvey - but Let England Shake... I think it's phenomenal. Don't you even like This Glorious Land? My only bugbear with 50 Words For Snow (apart from the dreadful Lake Tahoe) is the seriously ghastly artwork - what on EARTH was she thinking? Her last 3 albums have all appeared in sleeves seemingly designed by Stevie Wonder. A whole booklet of really naff 'snow sculptures'.... err... thanks, Kate.

That's a spot-on review, I think. Especially the line "While much of 50 Words for Snow conjures a whited-out, dream-like state of disbelief, it's important to note that Bush does everything in her power to make all the shadowy phantoms here feel real." This is a cold, creepy and at times unnerving piece of work, but all the while it is Bush's incredible talent of humanising what she writes about that holds it all together and makes it all work so well. tony - it definitely needs time - and sounds orgasmic on headphones. After repeated plays since yesterday, I can now state that it's in my top 3 Bush albums of all time.... and it's easily my album of the year (sorry PJ).

Rihanna and Drake - a song that sounds like it was written by simpletons - for simpletons.

:rolleyes: she decided to leave the jungle beats and hi hats off this one, I think. er....what were you expecting???? It's Kate Bush - the majority of her music is just ....her and a piano. Unless, of course, you only ever remember Babooshka and Wuthering Heights and have bypassed the rest of her career. As for The Dreaming similarities..... I think 50 Words is quite a dark album, for one thing. And also, it's really reminiscent of All The Love in parts. It's nowhere near as wild and trippy as The Dreaming - but it has the same claustrophobic kind of feel. And while we're making comparisons - whereas Aerial was sun-dappled and joyous, 50 Words is the other end of the spectrum - it's definitely its sister album, as someone mentions here. And tony - you had it on stream this morning - but did you sit? Did you listen? Or was it background music when you got on with a million other things? Because if it was, it's little wonder that 50 Words passed you by. This is an album for headphones on dark wintry nights. 50 Words is, to my ears, her most rounded and mature work to date, it's not my favourite album of hers - yet..... but give it time.....

The Brits have offered Kate the Lifetime Achievement Award twice..... both times she's turned it down. As for the album being aimless and overlong.... it's an album you need to bed-in with. To live with for a while. If anyone liked Kate's The Dreaming era, then 50 Words For Snow is for you.

with Kate, one listen is enough..... it's easy to spot greatness. And this is one of the greatest pieces of work I've heard in years.

I love Joni..... as much as a painter as a singer, actually - her work is beautiful - I like how her voice has aged too, it's a lot huskier and smokier now, adds something else to it. It's the same with this new KB album - her voice is far deeper and huskier than previously. I listened once to the streaming of the album... and 50 Words For Snow is a masterpiece. After the career lowpoint of Director's Cut, to come back with something so startlingly original and beautiful as this..... mindblowing. In parts it reminds me of her previous best work - All the Love from The Dreaming, Under The Ivy, A Coral Room...... it's an album to immerse yourself in, very uncommercial and spacious. It's phenomenal.

I liked Aaron at first - but then the longer he was in there, the more of a liar he appeared to be. Plus he's a BB addict - he knows exacly what the viewers are looking for in a winner. Faye's seriously barking up the wrong tree with that one, I think - Aaron's about as straight as I am, son or no son.... but he knew a 'romance' was always good for ratings - especially a bumpy one.... if he'd done with, say, Tom, what he did with Faye - he'd never have won. But for one awful moment last night, I thought the rancid Jay was gonna win it..... he's foul. Louise must be mental - she looked astonishingly beautiful last night. A man wih Celtic tattoos? Yeuch - common, chavvy, generic.

I know - jawdropping, eh? It's the worst song of the decade - nevermind year. Vile.

Well I bet Ch5 are tamping.... the first time in BB history that a winner leaves the house to boos. I'm SO glad that demented violent thug Jay didn't win./... hje seriously has anger and mental health issues. And he's a foul ignorant pig, too. I'd have like Alex as winner - very surprised she didn't run away with it. Now...PLEASE... Channel 5 - PLEASE get rid of Brian Dowling.... a man so far up his own arse he re-eats his food. Emma for the main show. Dowling's evictee interviews were appalling - he failed to ask the questions he should have with every housemate. And I think in his head he thinks those crowds are there for him, not the show. Idiot.

I think he's barely on just one track...and from what I've heard he doesn't even sound like the Elton we all know and loathe. I've never understood why she doesn't hook up with someone a bit more 'hip' - her collaborations have always been with toe-curlingly naff musicians...... Eric Clapton springs to mind./... then you have Lenny Henry, Rolf Harris, Tio Bulgarka...... I'd be cock-a-hoop if she joined 2011 and got together with someone current to make a...shock horror.... modern record. But it'll never happen. Perhaps it's not even 2011 where Kate lives....

I'd say this should be the case for the Crap Eyed Peas full stop....
