  1. here's one..... how people can leave vomit like Katy Perry in this list when there's some absolute classics that went waaaay too early is beyond me. Katy Perry is VILE. End of.

  3. Katy Perry..... a woman whose voice is akin to being subjected to every single Saw movie torture implement. Twice.
  4. Thanks for the votes last week - made up, ta :o :) http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm76/blissfulignorance_2008/ecstaticdancer.jpg
  5. which, weirdly enough, are 3 of the band's best ever singles... especially A Question of Lust which I still think should be sung by someone like Shirley Bassey - it's one of those kind of songs...huuuuge.
  6. Are we playing 'find the greatest single' or 'get rid of all the singles on the list with any shred of merit'? This competition seems to have been hijacked by anti-artist pettiness. Hence the early exits if GaGa, Britney etc. A shame....

  8. Like it or not, Toxic IS a classic pop single... and easily regarded as one of her (few) classics. And Maneater is a great great single. Classic? It's a huge single. And resurrected, briefly, a dead in the water career.
  9. I had a promo of the new album a while back...and only played it after this news broke... it's little wonder they've dropped him - it's absolutely awful - Eurocheese of the lowest form..... he's just so bone-crunchingly....average.
  10. I'm MEGA shocked that Toxic went... of course, it's not the quality of the song, it's the Britney haters..... there's NO WAY Toxic would've gone if we were voting on song merits alone - certainly not when there's a list featuring the 2 worst Sugababes singles, a Shakira abomination and the ghastliness that is Katy freaking Perry. I'm absolutely not a Britney Spears fan - but Toxic is a CLASSIC pop single. As is Maneater which looks set to disappear this round

One of the best twists in the history of the show - Channel 5 are doing a REALLY good job with Big Brother, fair play.
  12. I think Third is their best work! I loved the Can influence throughout.... I think it's a masterpiece - quite tough going in parts, but I think it's the album Portishead were always meant to make.

  14. Pink is vile.... but not a millionth as absolutely vile as Katy Perry :puke2: :puke2: :puke2:
  15. me too!!!! Plus.... Massive Attack's Unfinished Sympathy... I think the peeps who voted that they DON'T like it...well... they probably haven't even heard it... or many of the others they've voted against, let's be honest. Emili Sande obviously loved Unfinished Sympathy anyway
  16. What on EARTH is Tulisa on? Gary was right, she completely misunderstood this weeks theme. A rock song us NOT a cheesy pop sing like the awful Kesha track with a few guitar riffs thrown in. And her song choice for the Risk was equally wrong and totally inappropriate. My main bugbear though us Kelly Rowland. I loathe her stupid gangsta chat and her Americanism of everything. Maybe they should ship her home and maybe her style would suit the ailing US version better than ours. Plus, who with half an ear would've kept Sophie and dumped jade? Sophie was awful last night.... Its glaringly apparent Kelly made a very bad error in choosing her. She should go tonight, either her or Sammi due to Louis' abysmal song choice and styling.
  17. so there's 7 people here who GENUINELY think Toxic or Sonique is a WORSE single than, ahem, Katy frickin Perry? Buzzjack - you're, quite simply... mental.

  19. yes, it is - but certainly not one I'd a) ever listen to or, more pertinently b) ever admit to listening to. She brings naff to eye-wateringly high levels. Katy Perry is utterly ghastly. And the most annoying part is that live - well, she sucks. Big style. GET, HER. OUT.
  20. He always looked better than he sounded, I thought....plus..... I've barely forgiven his take on Golden Brown from the last album......
  21. Katy Perry brings aural vileness to new levels. A woman who sounds like a cat gargling razorblades and looks like a blind girl who's been dipped in glue and rolled around for three days in a Christmas decoration factory. Beyond hideous.
  22. Fully agree. It would be a fitting final tribute to the wonderful Kirsty MacColl, too. I hate Nirvana, hate SLTS... and I dread to think what shite the XFactor rabble will foist on us.
  23. Basically...err...yes..... although, if it was, it's missing 99% of the finest female acts.....

  25. I can't see her caring much - it was her choice to only release the single as a download - if she'd put out a physical release, Wild Man would've been as much bigger hit.....
