LEAST Favourite of 2001s best selling singles
...by credible I meant 'good' - not only credible as in NME muso style.... I think it's hilarious that Gorillaz are getting so many votes when there's so much absolutre utter unadulterated shit left on that list. Like I said earlier, BJ is not known for its conoisseurs of music - but even BJ has outdone itself this time.... :D We have one of the cheesiest and most awful dance records of all time (Ian van bloody Dahl) and the most rancid male performer of the past 10 years (Daniel Bedingfield)... each have? Yes... zero votes   There's even a bloody Atomic Kitten single left in here - that's how vomit-inducing this list has become. After Gorillaz goes this round, I'm out on this one... the songs that are left..... asking me to choose one over another is like asking me to choose between a bout of cholera or leprosy.

STUNNED that people can openly admit that, out of that AWFUL list, they're choosing Gorillaz as the 'worst song' on this list - I know Buzzjackers are never known for their musical finesse - but Gorillaz?! It's the only credible song left in the whole sorry pile.

I worry if you honestly believe Lady Marmalade is a worse single thanDaniel Bedingfield..... or Atomic Kitten. I always vote for the song - the artist is utterly irrelevant. If Aguilera was on this list with Bob The Builder and Zig and Zag..... the haters round here would still vote for it. Sad really.....

It's a shame people wouldn't vote more on the quality of the actual song rather than which artsist they don't like any more..... OK, Christina's as popular as a fart in a spacesuit on BJ these days - but is Lady Marmalade REALLY a worse single than, say, Castles In The Sky, Pure and Simple, Whole Again, Samantha Mumba etc......? Oh how fickle people are....

Your 80s favourites?
Talking Heads a guilty favourite? Nahh.... I'm a very proud Talking Heads fan, me..... although I'm not too keen on And She Was or Road to Nowhere.

Album Clash: Joe McElderry or Will Young?
I'm no Will Young fan, but let's be honest - his new single is nothing short of fabulous - and from what I've heard of the album it sounds like it's as good throughout.

I'm shocked Roger Sanchez went, too - or maybe, considering some of the tastes around here (someone here actually believes Kylie is the wrst single on that list - as if), it's not such a surprise :( It's embarrassing enough to have ONE Chronic Kitten single in any 'best of' list - to have 2 is just mortifying. Buzzjack... come on

Cover Competition Results
Great work, all..... and Jark - same back - you've made some stonking covers of late.... more often than not far better than the actual covers..... same for many of the others we see week after week - some of the record companies could take note from some of the designs we see here, and make more effort ;) It'd be great to really promote this game again when it's re-launched - maybe we could all have a link in our sigs taking people directly to the threads? Or a snazzy sig photo showing some of the lovely work entered? Or maybe even a block message sent to all members every week reminding them this thread exists?

Agreed. Atomic Kitten are just shockingly naff though. What worries me is that we have someone among us who seriously, genuinely thinks Cant Get YOu out of my Head is a worse single than ETernal Flame or Whole AGain....

Hurts 'Happiness' • September 6th 2010
100% agree. Illuminated is divine. Great band and HURTS are fabulous live..... great, great live show.

Your 80s favourites?
I've seen them live twice - umm.... it's a bit of an occasion, but Susanne and Joanne won't be giving Moyet or Lennox any worries in the vocals department any day soon, I'll say that much ;)

PNAU 'Soft Universe ıı 22 July (AU)
Agreed - in fact, the first PNAU album is all pretty brilliant. I loved Empire of the Sun.... but nothing on their album matches PNAU...... this new single is brilliant.
