LEAST Favourite of 2002s best selling singles
Shakira - TERRIBLE... although this is easily the cheesiest and least interesting top 3 we've ever had in these rounds... :(

The blue rinse it is then Jark - love your cover.... but Britney looks Jo Whiley-ish on it? Minus 60 years, of course...

Your 80s favourites?
My favourite version of I Think We're Alone Now was by Lene Lovich, on her Stateless album from 1979..... brilliant.

I'd say the cover with the light, too... I'm not sure whether the Britney cover's nicer b&w or with the blue tinge.....? http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm76/blissfulignorance_2008/britneyiwannagobw.jpg http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm76/blissfulignorance_2008/britneyiwannago.jpg

Bruno Mars Joins The One Million Sellers Elite
Surely there's no such thing as a fan of Cher Lloyd who ISN'T a lunatic. Or clinically retarded.

LEAST Favourite of 2002s best selling singles
Deeply shameful that a song by... ahem... Holly Valance is still in this competition. Although even sludge by her isn't as ghastly as Shakira....

Bruno Mars Joins The One Million Sellers Elite
you're obviously far more clued up on Bruno than I am, thankfully. And for the person saying he's one of 'the most soulful voices of his generation' - I assume you mean soulless? What a shockingly wide-of-the-mark statement to make...... Bruno Mars is many many things. Soulful he's very definitely not.

Great choices. Portishead, Air, Groove Armada, Bent, Lamb, Lou Rhodes... There's much much better ways of chilling out than listening to Bruno bloody Mars. Mars isn't 'chill out' anyway. It's safe, boring, cheesy MOR. 'Amazing' is one of the most ironic songtitles of recent years.....

Bruno Mars Joins The One Million Sellers Elite
It's just a shame there's a million people out there who like their music bland, insipid and deeply boring.

LEAST Favourite of 2002s best selling singles
I couldn't possibly vote for Sugababes whilst the rancid Shakira is still on this list.... :puke2:
-
LEAST Favourite of 2002s best selling singles
I'm seriously shocked people ate voting for one of SUgababes only true great singles whilst ignoring one of their least interesting moments (Round Round). Freak Like Me is a classic?!

LEAST Favourite of 2002s best selling singles
Shakira. Yeuch. It's a cheap and nasty holiday song..... fit only for shabby Spanish discos in shabby Spanish resorts.

Sepia it is then... and JARK... penis? What penis? Looks like it snapped off in about 1805. Story of my life.

lol - it's the one I'm voting out - truly dreadful single.

The Almost Saturday Top 75 Singles by Dave Taylor
It seems almost wrong that Amy doesn't hold the top 3 singles this week...... and it's almost an insult looking at the seriously naff top 7 ahead of her....

Cremey - definitely with text, I think.... Pains of being pure at heart for me this week - took ages to mould some real body parts onto a statue... but not sure whether to go with sepia or colour..... and I did what Cremey did this week - hand wrote and scanned in the songtitle. http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm76/blissfulignorance_2008/painsofbeingpure.jpg http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm76/blissfulignorance_2008/painsofbeingpure1.jpg

I'm not a Sugababes fan at all - but voting Freak Like Me over Round Round? FLM is an infinitely better single.... :o

Most Influential Artist of the last 20 years
Bjork Madonna Massive Attack Amy Winehouse Radiohead and...I have to roll my eyes at someone calling Eminem 'the best rapper of all time' - I can only presume this person isn't too well acquainted with rap music to make a ridiculous statement like this. Not for their music now, but for the legacy before, we of course have to mention Kate Bush The Beatles Debbie Harry / Blondie ABBA Morrissey / The Smiths Pet Shop Boys Roxy Music Depeche Mode Pink Floyd Nick Drake
