that's how I feel - Sigur Ros have now gone into 'all atmosphere but no actual song' territory - and I, for one, am fast losing interest. They need stricter quality control and a decent songwriter to get me interested again. Valtari is just.... boring. And they don't even seem to take any care with their artwork anymore, either :(

I'm a HUGE dance music fan, and there's many dance tracks that are incredibly emotive, moving and deserve far more credit. Loreen however, simply isn't one of them. It sounds like a cheesy Costa del Sol summer anthem. Something that might turn up on a ghastly Misery of Sound compilation. But undoubtedly the best song on the night. Raw emotion? Ummm.......

Well done to Sweden! Strange to see Cascada-lite Eurocheese winning Eurovision. Plus it's nice to see Claudia Winkleman's talents aren't restricted to Tv presenting.

aw, thank you fella, I tried about a million variations on that pattern. Felt like it anyway. Ended up? With the first one. Agh.... I felt the same about the crop of releases this week - I'd have done Girl Gone Wild, but I did a cover for MDNA using the video stills a few weeks back, so....

Move In The Right Direction is as perfect a slab of pop as you are likely to ever hear - and it should've been the lead single. All in all, bar the grotesque rtwork, I LOVE this album more than any other Gossip album. HMV online have the album signed by all 3 members for £8.99...a snip. Is it going to flop, though? Has the single done anything at all? It deserves to be massive but......

The Spice Girls wouldn't have existed without Bananarama. That came from Geri Halliwell herself..... and all the girl groups before Bananarama were chucked together by record companies etc (much like the girlbands of the 90s and 00s)... Bananarama were a homegrown actual product. I'm not even going to bother nominating any acts at all for this thread - it's utterly mortifying and represents nothing.

it's called musical awareness... musical heritage. Something you, too, seem utterly gloriously oblivious to. It's like having a Best Boyband competition minus a single song by Take That or The Beatles. Oh, and Venus is rubbish anyway.... pity it's the only reference point you have.

well as Bananaram made the mould for every single girlband you lot are mentioning... it's bizarre and ridiculous that only ONE person on this thread has cared to include a song by them. Christ, Buzzjack... really??!?!? :rolleyes: :rolleyes:
