How long can Adele's '21' stay #1 on the album Chart for?
yes, you're quite right - after all, Avril Lavigne needs all the space she can get in the charts right now, wouldn't you say?

How long can Adele's '21' stay #1 on the album Chart for?
My favourite track on the album - another classic. Could Adele not only release the album of the year - but also the singles of the year, too? With Rolling In The Deep, Someone Like You and now Set Fire To The Rain - I reckon she just might.

My Humps - once again, worst top 20 record of the past 10 years. Just.... ghastly. And the worst song lyric EVER. Period.

LEAST Favourite of 2005s best selling singles
Although I voted Westlife (it just seems cruel having them in a music list of any kind), I have to say - My Humps is EASILY the worst top 20 single of the past 10 years...... I seriously cannot think of a worse one....

LEAST Favourite of 2005s best selling singles
So much $h!t from this year hard to choose just one... there's diahorrea from Black Eyed Peas, Akon, Crazy Frogh - but, of course, it HAS to be Pestllife and their rancid single.

same here - I've lost a total of 60 points this past month (including 20 this week) because of the ridiculous penalising of points..... for some people. The voting should always be extended til close of play Monday - some people just don't do the internet at weekends..... I doubt I'll enter again - not worth it when 'rules' are there for some.

Björk's new album Biophilia
Yes, I definitely include Vespertine and especially Medulla in the list of self indulgent, song-less, tune-less and meandering Bjork releases. Top of the pile. An interesting concept that she simply doesn't pull off at any level, to my ears. The only thing I credit to either album is fabulous artwork. The less said about the awful Volta, the better, I think. She didn't even et the artwork right with this one. But it's all down to personal taste, really.

Kate Bush - 'Director's Cut'
I think Song of Solomon is in my top 10 Kate moments to be honest. I like Moments of Pleasure, I just find it a bit... wordy (and some terrible lyrics... "every old sock meets an old shoe' :o )...and I hate all the Red Shoes videos, they're all a bit... gimpy. I'd say Constellaion of the Heart ties with Between a Man and a Woman as my least favourite Kate track.

Take That need your votes ;-)
http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?s...126502&st=0 they need them again :D Currently Patience is ahead to go - with Lily Allen and (ahem) Shakira its nearest competitors to be booted off.....

No, didn't say the abysmal Hips was insignificant - just deeply, deeply BAD. She sounds like she's gargling phlegm on it for one thing - what you need to remember is, Latin America is a coossal market - one of the bigest - hence trash like Shakira who, let's be honest, has released ONE listenable single (She Wolf) in her entire career - and that's because her vocals were heavily doctored. And a number one single is NEVER a sign of a quality record. I can name more appalling number ones, across the globe, than I can brilliant ones. And Akon and Black Eyed Peas are utterly unforgiveable and inexcusable. End of. For the record, too, I'm not a Take That fan at all - but you'd have to be pretty young or stupid, or both, to not realise the impact of them - maybe when Shakira has been having number one singles and best selling albums after 20 years we can have a similar argument about her. Ah yes, her last album - flopped, didn't it? So far from Take That never having the same success as, ahem, Shakira, or only dreaming' of it..... sorry - nonsense, again. Shakira will disappear to the Latin American market, as all the other Latin artists do - her lifespan as a global chart-topper is pretty much at an end, I'd say. To excuse Patience's airplay as 'only MOR stations' is again nonsense - it's a record I hear on my local radio station a few times a week - alongside The Vaccines, The Clash, Depeche Mode etc etc etc..... hardly MOR. Whther you like the record or not, to deny that it's a lifelong classic, something you'll hear again and again throughout your lifetime, is silly. I don't like Candle In The Wind one bit - but..well... it's a classic. Same with Let It Be. Same with Save A Prayer. Same with Losing My Religion. Same with Heart of Glass. Same with Angels. None of them songs I like AT ALL - but songs that'll be around.... forever, really, like it or not. As someone else mentioned, Crazy is the other song on the list that people will still be playing and mentioning 20 years from now..... only that one and Patience on that list, absolutely no question.

That's because the Latin American countries (never known for their taste... Enrique...Ricky Martin... Lambada... Macarena...Los Lobos.... ugh ugh ugh ...ahem) are HUGE markets - it certainly wasn't ANYWERE NEAR the biggest selling single of any decade in the UK or most of Europe. It barely scraped the top 50 biggest sellers of the decade in the UK, for starters.... biggest song of the decade? Nonsense. And Pump It good? Maybe for the clinically deaf. Absolute end of argument....

Dance in the NEWS
I will admit that a lot of Faithless stuff did sound very similar..... I always much preferred the music to Maxi's ramblings...... but, for any non-fans or casual listeners, you really should invest in The Dance - especially the '...Never Ends' remix bundle - it's cracking... and Sun To Me.... why this was only released as a single in, I think, Belgium.... bonkers - it's a huge stand-out track on the album.... in fact, I'd say it's my favourite Faithless song ever- and it sounds incredible on great speakers in a club or in the car - THAT bassline.... AWESOME.... Sun To Me original... Sun To Me (Mark Knight remix)

A classic sign of a classic record, that, then.... err...WHAT?! Where? Biggest song of the decade? Are you for real? It's an absolute STINKER of a song.... a song that shows this 'lady's extremely limited and extremely annoying vocal 'ability'. Absolutely HORRIFIC. And you play Pump It out of choice? Christ.... on headphones, I seriously hope, as I'd evict you if you played such vomit in my house. Utterly naff and rancid.

Björk's new album Biophilia
I love Bjork...but... for too long she's taken her foot off the quality control pedal - most of her last 4 albums have been meandering, self-indulgent, song-free affairs, which is a damn shame. I went to a party of hers once, for the Post album, thrown by One Little Indian..... she was writhing about on the dancefloor acting very strangely. To her own music. Apparently she pissed on the floor later in the evening in full view of everyone - I didn't see that, though :o :D

GENIUS! And weird - because I did one using the Giger skewers for GaGa the other week but didn't end up using it :o

LEAST Favourite of 2006s best selling singles
Can youreally, in all honesty and sound mind, genuinely try to tell us Hips Don't Lie is a better written, constructed, played and sung song than Patience? I mean...really? :o I'm no Take That fan - but like it or not, Patience is the only all-time classic song on that list - it's certainly the only song anyone will even half remember 10 years from now. You're letting personal taste get in the way of quality songwriting..... as I said, I'm no TT fan, but Patience really is ...well... a classic.

Dance in the NEWS
The Dance was their best album - ever....and, as a fitting tribute, I thin they should release the best track, their best track in a decade, 'Sun To Me'... AWESOME track. Sad news.

Elbow - Build A Rocket Boys [March 7th]
Elbow are a band I like listening to - but really hate watching.... they look like lager louts dragged out of the pub to do a karaoke session - the least video-friendly band about, has to be said. The album's a good album..... not a great one - there's definite fillers there. I think Elbow will be a band who, for the forseeable future, will be media darlings - all the reviewers seem to love them, they can do no wrong. They'll never be a single chart-topping band as their audience simply cant be arsed with buying singles.... but I think they're well on the way to being Britain's biggest band right now. And whilst I like this album, I don't love it - I think there's much better to come, maybe next time. Oh, and the artwork's bloody awful - what were they thinking? :o
