idk if I have much to contribute to this length discourse considering my longest entry here stops just shy of 5 minutes, but I would be naive to deny that there has been a recent trend of songs lasting longer than 6 minutes mopping up medal positions and reaching the top 10 (even top 5 in some cases) and that’s where the memes/jokes/criticism is coming from. But hey, if they seem to like it and if that’s what grabs people these days then who am I to deny them of their fun 😅 and if it’s good and justifies its length then I’ll throw it a few points but that’s my prerogative and not yours.
