  1. #37: Ella Eyre - Comeback KnnvfHz7qzA Year of release: 2014 Chart Run: {1-2-2-3-4-2-2-3-5-6-5-5-5-5-5-8-9-13-15-18-22-26-33-39-48-51-47-54-60-63-72-89-65-50-69-85-91-x10-27-40-49-56-69-80-74-81-99-98-x7-60-66-93} 2015 Peak: #5 Weeks on top 100 in 2015: 35 2014 EOY: #37 Finishing at #37 for the second EOY in a row, Ella Eyre's Comeback lasted long enough in the new year to spend 5 weeks in the top 10 and a further 7 weeks in the top 40. It also spent an extra 2 weeks following the release of Feline.
  2. #38: Ella Henderson - Yours CAjKZJarlwk Year of release: 2014 Chart Run: {38-39-37-9-7-8-10-11-10-12-16-19-21-21-23-25-29-36-41-44-50-45-18-31-34-32-36-39-50-53-58-49-60-68-71-60-64-76-88-85-74-81-84-85-81-86-89-94-x2-92-98-96-98-x8-96-96} 2015 Peak: #16 Weeks on top 100 in 2015: 42 2014 EOY: #57 Ella Henderson again, with her third single Yours. It reached #16 in the official chart and sadly spent only 5 weeks in the top 40, although it did appear on Now That's What I Call Music! 90 :yahoo: Such a beautiful song.
  3. #39: Labrinth - Jealous 50VWOBi0VFs Year of release: 2014 Chart Run: {11-17-17-19-23-32-29-39-39-37-41-46-50-54-68-73-68-67-72-68-40-43-46-51-54-54-57-62-73-73-75-72-75-82-79-81-82-82-90-99-29-48-69-89-97-x7-94-60-78-75-70-67-71} 2015 Peak: #29 Weeks on top 100 in 2015: 45 2014 EOY: #124 Next at #39 we have Labrinth with Jealous. I'm not going to pretend I understand why this is considered so bad. It's an absolutely heartbreaking song, and the personal experience is indeed there. Buzzjack, on this one you have got it completely and utterly wrong.
  4. #40: Foreigner - I Want To Know What Love Is raNGeq3_DtM Year of release: 1985 Chart Run: {43-18-14-8-7-7-8-5-9-11-15-23-30-34-34-40-53-61-65-69-86-94-98-100} Peak: #5 Weeks on top 100: 24 Kicking off the top 40 is Foreigner with the 30 year old classic I Want To Know What Love Is. I discovered this following its use in an advert and its inclusion of Now That's What I Call Power Ballads, and it reached my top 5 this year.
  5. Glad you're liking all the tracks! Only 17 days until his debut album is out! (I think)
  6. Two hours left to vote!
  7. #41: Kygo featuring Conrad - Firestone 9Sc-ir2UwGU Year of release: 2014 Chart Run: {43-9-8-8-4-3-13-16-23-30-38-34-34-35-43-55-72-80-77-89-86-88-62-90-88-86-100-x-69-76-72-61-53-67-91-99-x4-100} Peak: #3 Weeks on top 100 in 2015: 35 Just missing the top 40 is Kygo (again) this time with his first hit Firestone. This is everything a great dance track should be, and it's a lot better than anything on the Stories album. Let's hope his second era doesn't see him descend to such lows.
  8. #42: Kygo featuring Ella Henderson - Here For You b8PPap4dJog Year of release: 2015 Chart Run: {22-6-5-7-11-8-11-13-16-21-29-37-42-62-61-73-71-40-24-40-56...} Peak: #5 Weeks on top 100 in 2015: 17 At #42 we have Kygo and Ella Henderson with the fantastic Here For You. Since everything either artist touches turns to gold, there was no doubt a collaboration between the two would be excellent, and the blend of Kygo's production and Ella's vocals is magical. That being said, I wish it had a music video which wasn't terrible.
  9. #43: Professor Green featuring Tori Kelly - Lullaby 9rHiLAdMmss Year of release: 2014 Chart Run: {3-2-4-6-7-8-8-8-11-13-14-15-18-15-17-19-23-25-24-25-28-33-35-40-40-46-46-54-60-65-67-63-61-48-38-38-44-55-64-70-81-83-89-87-77-80-86-98-98-x19-94} 2015 Peak: #19 Weeks on top 100 in 2015: 34 2014 EOY: #52 At #43 we have a 2014 holdover in the form of Professor Green's Lullaby. Unfortunately Tori Kelly's solo material hasn't been up to standard, and Professor Greezn hasn't really released anything since. With this appearing he has appeared in five consecutive EOY top 100, appearing from 2011 to 2013 with Read All About It, and in 2014 and 2015 with Lullaby.
  10. #44: Ellie Goulding - Love Me Like You Do AJtDXIazrMo Year of release: 2015 Chart Run: {9-2-1-1-4-7-10-8-16-34-40-53-57-57-48-65-74-87-100-95-97-98-98} Peak: #1 Weeks on top 100: 23 Another artist starting by the letter E, at #44 we have the theme to the 50 Shades Of Grey movie. It's the 2015 "Absolute Beginners" case, where a terrible film (50 Shades Of Grey/Absolute Beginners) has an absolutely fantastic theme song (Love Me Like You Do/Absolute Beginners by David Bowie). With Bowie's death two weeks ago, the theme tune now also have the fact they were both the second new number one of 2015 and 2016 respectively in common.
  11. #45: Electric Light Orchestra - When I Was A Boy tM34A80RTv4 Year of release: 2015 Chart Run: {1-4-8-10-12-16-16-14-15-17-12-16-22-31-36-52-55...} Peak: #1 Weeks on top 100 in 2015: 13 At #45 we have Electric Light Orchestra/Jeff Lynne's ELO with the fabulous When I Was A Boy. What a comeback this was, and while it did nothing chart wise it proves that even 45 years after their first single, ELO are still more than capable of making tunes.
  12. #46: Ella Henderson - Empire 2oZhrFRN3Pw Year of release: 2014 Chart Run: {26-30-31-36-42-43-49-50-46-52-45-45-43-41-38-38-36-40-38-37-41-44-52-59-45-49-51-54-58-57-56-56-58-67-72-72-78-81-80-73-67-64-69-68-66-77-87-91-98-95-91-90-91-88-86-90-89-88-97-100-90-81-62-43-56-63...} 2015 Peak: #36 Weeks on top 100 in 2015: 52 2014 EOY: #129 At #46 we have the second of four songs to have spent the entire year in the chart with Ella Henderson's Empire. I can only say that this was a missed single opportunity, but then again, there were quite a lot of potential singles and the era stopped after just four.
  13. #47: Charli XCX featuring Rita Ora - Doing It Km3agvlyRmM Year of release: 2015 Chart Run: {62-9-11-12-11-12-12-14-15-11-14-23-32-45-51-62-67-87-85-89-89-90} Peak: #9 Weeks on top 100: 22 At #47 we have Charli XCX and Rita Ora with Doing It, a song which sadly had a rather short chart run when an atrocity entering the top 10 the same week spent four months in the top 40. In my chart, it peaked at #9 and spent 10 weeks in the top 15.
  14. #48: Sigma - Nobody To Love KD5fLb-WgBU Year of release: 2014 Chart Run: {10-11-14-19-26-29-27-30-39-42-48-45-50-43-42-37-37-39-41-38-39-36-36-32-33-35-34-39-33-36-42-39-40-42-43-36-40-37-30-32-30-35-37-42-45-48-52-56-57-70-81-83-x4-72-68-75-29-46-63-64-77-68-79-88-75-92-92-91-83-91-94-97-x6-83-77-74-71-49-38-41-47-48-59-73-78...} 2015 Peak: # Weeks on top 100 in 2015: 42 2014 EOY: #55 At #48 and actually climbing from last year is Sigma with the fantastic Nobody To Love. Proving itself to be an everlasting classic, it remains a regular in my charts almost two years after its release. And to think they've made three better tracks.
  15. Ouch at that drop for Heroes :( Secret Love Song, Lush Life, Love Me Like You, Army, Sax, Fight Song, Sweet Lovin', Stand By You, Hello, You Don't Own Me, Love Me Or Leave Me, Wildest Dreams, Black Magic and Heroes are all fabulous! I quite dislike Hands To Myself at the moment, not gonna lie.
  16. Bang My Head is the album version, by the way. Ex's & Oh's could climb. Thanks for commenting! More And More is looking likely to climb over the coming weeks, so who knows how high it can go? Thanks for commenting!
  17. Voting closes around this time tomorrow evening. 24 hours left to vote! (Spoiler: )
  18. #49: Ella Henderson - Lay Down bZ5JypI1ifw Year of release: 2014 Chart Run: {55-62-68-73-74-79-85-91-80-77-80-75-75-71-75-68-74-81-95-90-92-84-83-89-61-47-54-55-55-55-53-54-59-70-80-87-91-96-90-90-88-96-96-94-93-98-x10-12-14-22-17-19-20-24-35-44-52...} Peak: #12 Weeks on top 100 in 2015: 42 2014 EOY: #157 At #49 we have Ella Henderson again with Lay Down. A simple, piano-based, beautiful song, over time this has emerged as one of the best tracks from the album, although it never made the top 40. Until, of course, its use as a tribute to the victims of the terrorists attacks on November 13, 2015 sent it up to #12.
  19. #50: Jess Glynne -Take Me Home hovvRvglBBY Year of release: 2015 Chart Run: {1-4-5-7-6-10-18-25-30-26-17-20-23-36-34...} Peak: #1 Weeks on top 100 in 2015: 11 Starting off the top 50 is Jess Glynne with the beautiful Take Me Home, which became her third number one on my personal chart. An absolutely stunning track.
  20. Pass Out is excellent, so a deserving winner. I wish Written In The Stars was top 5 though, such a great song.

  22. #51: Sia - Alive t2NgsJrrAyM Year of release: 2015 Chart Run: {14-12-7-7-8-10-12-17-21-29-31-19-24-36-41-55-74-69...} Peak: #7 Weeks on top 100 in 2015: 14 Just missing the top 50 is Sia with Alive. Despite its rather low #30 peak, and its incapacity to return to the top 40 despite having everything thrown at it, it's still a fantastic song and one of her best. Much better than Bang My Head, although that is at a disadvantage since Fetty Wap features.
  23. #52: Rachel Platten - Stand By You bwB9EMpW8eY Year of release: 2015 Chart Run: {17-1-5-10-16-20-23-26-24-29-35-39-47-54-59-64-57-75-72...} Peak: #1 Weeks on top 100 in 2015: 15 Rachel Platten appears for the second and final time in this countdown with the fantastic Stand By You. Personally, I find this to be vastly superior to Fight Song. Although it has had a relatively short top 40 run for a number one, the fact it's finally starting to gain the success it deserves could send it back up.
  24. #53: Years & Years - Ties r3nertWi_Mg Year of release: 2015 Chart Run: {17-14-12-6-5-5-4-7-10-15-18-18-18-22-24-26-33-39-40-37-40-43-47-42-23-25-34-37...} Peak: #4 Weeks on top 100 in 2015: 24 Another track from Communion now, Ties was my favourite track out of those I hadn't already heard, and I think it would be a very good single.
  25. #54: Years & Years - Memo a8fAsYRWiAs Year of release: 2015 Chart Run: {40-40-33-25-13-10-6-6-5-6-8-15-19-23-25-27-34-38-35-34-36-40-40-41-18-16-27-29...} Peak: #5 Weeks on top 100 in 2015: 24 Years & Years now, with one of my favourites from Communion. Memo may not be as exciting as the other tracks on the single, but its rawness is a nice change (as fantastic as the uptempo tracks are) and it would be a much better single than Gold, in my opinion.
