General Election 2017
As a Conservative voter and pro-Brexit, June 8th will be a sublime day. G'won Theresa May, you courageous person.

Top tune from Gaga, finally we have "The Fame" Lady Gaga back, that Superbowl performance earlier this year may just have put her career back on track.

This is like when Justin Bieber released "What Do You Mean" and I started to like his music, but yeah the Harry Styles song is really good, reminds me of David Bowie so huge compliment there.

Trump, Russians and Corruption
Spot on.

Trump, Russians and Corruption
I think more military action may be the only way possible now. Assad NEEDS to go. Also the alt-right are in meltdown over this btw, they're turning against Trump. I think Trump made the right decision here, even better that he didn't feel the pressure to tell the media yesterday exactly how he would respond to the Syrian chemical weapons attack except that he would respond, well now we know.

Drake's "Passionfruit" up to 6 now on iTunes, love that it's holding up really well. The "More Love" album is top class too.

How many weeks will Shape Of You total at the top?
I hope that happens, love "Shape Of You" but I wanna see "Galway Girl" go to #1 too.

Possible second independence referendum
The EU's aim is a federal state like the USA, that's why the euro currency was created and there is now talk of one European army replacing NATO. I'm totally against all of that, my nationality is British/English, not European (or whatever they'll call it).
-
Possible second independence referendum
The majority of the Scottish people do not want a second referendum so soon, Theresa May anticipated what Nicola Sturgeon would do and by refusing this referendum the PM knew that she would have the majority of Scotland backing her to refuse this referendum, that's why all this bluster from the SNP is just laughable, they look like a massive joke party. Now Theresa May has shown Scotland that a Conservative Prime Minster DOES listen to Scotland, and the SNP only represents themselves. And no I don't see the EU as the enemy, not when the UK will be out of the EU soon and we will be mostly just a trading partner with it. The EU can go ahead with their federalisation of one European nation just as long as the UK is well away from that nonsense.
-
Possible second independence referendum
There won't be another referendum until at least 2023 and that's only IF the SNP win a majority in 2021 in the Scottish parliament. Theresa May has just outskilled Nicola Sturgeon and the SNP, it wasn't that difficult though for the UK Prime Minister However this also means another 4 years of endless ranting and "blaming the English" from the Scottish Nationalists for the next 4 years. <_<

Same. "Best Behaviour" is holding up well on iTunes so far which is good news.

Possible second independence referendum
It's not a Muslim ban as you say, how can it be if people from countries like Indonesia and Pakistan are still able to enter the US. Seriously it's like you are brainwashed or something. Anyway like I said before, wanting full control and knowledge over who's coming in and out of your country does NOT make you a racist.
-
Possible second independence referendum
Oh so if you support Trump then that automatically makes you a racist, what kind of logic is that, does that make all 62.9 million Americans that voted for Trump racists too. And no Trump hasn't banned Muslims from coming into the USA, he has temporarily suspended citizens from certain countries coming into the country whilst giving him time to sort out America's immigration laws. And why are you not criticising countries that PERMANENTLY ban Israeli people from entering their country, or are you just jumping on the 'let's hate anything Trump does' bandwagon.
-
Possible second independence referendum
Me despise foreigners? What a load of crap. I'm massively in favour of immigration to the UK but do I think it could be better controlled then yes, that's just common sense. Wanting your own country to have full control and knowledge over who is coming in and out of your country does NOT make you a racist, no-one ever accuses Japan or Australia of being racists for doing precisely that. And yes, Sturgeon is a racist and she does hate England, just recently she refused to discipline an SNP head councillor for making a racist comment about English people. Also the London mayor Sadiq Khan has accused Sturgeon of stoking up anti-English racism.
-
Possible second independence referendum
Hang on, calling someone a racist is not just about being offended, that's a massive slur and I'm still waiting for that person to back up what they said. And yes Nicola Sturgeon is a racist, she absolutely despises England and anything to do with us.
-
Possible second independence referendum
There would be no reason for her or Scotland to be in the UK media anymore if they leave the UK, for example I don't ever see the Republic of Ireland PM or President in the UK media.
-
Possible second independence referendum
Excuse me, are you going to back that up because that's bang out of order what you just said there.
-
Possible second independence referendum
Wow Nicola Sturgeon really f***ing hates England, I see it as a win/win situation, if Scotland leaves then the rest of the UK no longer have to see and hear from that ugly racist again and if they vote to stay then she's just destroyed her own and the SNP's political careers.

Brexit Update Poll
Are you British? If you are then I'm really surprised that you would say freedom of movement with the EU is better than one with the Commonwealth. I've got relatives who live in Australia and New Zealand, the opportunity to make it easier for me to visit them and possibly stay and work there is HUGE for me, if you look at the facts more British people have moved to live in Commonwealth countries than EU countries despite the UK currently being a member of the EU. Also by a long way I feel more culturally familiar to the Commonwealth than I ever do about being "European".
-
Brexit Update Poll
This is classic, Um, freedom of movement with countries like Canada and Australia is IMPOSSIBLE if the UK is still a member of the EU. And Tony Blair being your favourite ever PM explains everything, arguably the most hated man in the country, that's why he has police protection at all times paid for by the taxpayers of course.
-
Brexit Update Poll
Now that's a lie, the reason the UK has this meeting with the Commonwealth is precisely because we are no longer straight jacketed by the EU and we are finally leaving it. As for rejoining, young people are fickle (I'd know I'm still in my 20's) and once my generation starts to see how much better it is for the UK to be outside of the EU, it'll be like admitting today that you actually voted for Tony Blair to be PM.
-
Brexit Update Poll
Myth? There has literally just been a Commonwealth meeting in London that started a couple of days ago setting out plans on deals with the UK and the other Commonwealth nations. And freedom of movement between the UK, Australia and New Zealand is actually going to happen, obviously we need to be completely out of the EU first.
-
Brexit Update Poll
Yawn! Remainers are still scaremongering , you do realise the campaigning is over and the UK WILL be leaving the EU. I'm not gonna bother listing all of the many positives about the UK being out of the EU because I'll be here all day, all I'll say is once the UK triggers Article 50 it won't be long before more and more British people really starts to discover the benefits of being a sovereign and independent country outside of the EU, for me personally I can't wait until the UK government gets a deal with Australia and New Zealand on freedom of movement between our countries.

album tracks that could have been top ten hits
One of the greatest songs ever made, Elton John - Tiny Dancer. It was never released as a single and yet recently it's been certified Silver (200,000 chart sales), helped by downloads and streaming. Great thread btw. Al8UHnjusq0

Official Charts to become Ed-exclusive next week.
I think streaming has been fantastic for both singles and album charts, I think it's finally properly reflecting what songs the public are actually listening to, Ed Sheeran is one of the biggest popstars on the planet atm and this domination on streaming is accurately showing that, in the 1960's the singles chart and album chart would have the Beatles occupy the entire top 5 but if that was what the public was listening to then so be it. Also another thing streaming has been great for is ending the constant one week #1's in the singles chart which made the achievement far less credible, now we're seeing songs like "Rockabye" #1 for 9 weeks, "One Dance" for 15 weeks, and "Shape Of You" for 8 weeks so far, I think that's far, far greater to see and makes the #1 a lot less attainable.
