  1. No it under-performed for Taylor, it didn't flop. Another Leona example, sorry. Spirit - 3,000,000 -Huge seller but rare to sell so much. Echo - 750,000 - Under performed, more in line of what other big names sold. Glassheart - 90,000 - Flop Echo under-performed for Leona but still was a big seller and made a tonne of money, despite being out for only 6 weeks in 2009 it still was the 15th biggest seller in the UK. Glassheart flopped, it made a loss for the label. There is a difference.
  2. I really don't agree with that, I think there is a huge difference between an under-performance and a flop. How can the second best selling album in the world and the 1st in America in 2017 be a flop? Its ridiculous to even try and sell it as such, okay it never sold as much as her previous but it still shifted massive units and made a tonne of money, so it under-performed compared to her last.
  3. Ultimately I judge a song's performance on how it sells, who cares about a chart position if you don't sell much in the long run. I think You Are The Reason by Calum/Leona is a great example as it never went Top 40 in the UK but has still been certified Gold. And its the same story in multiple countries, never charted in the US but is platinum, 3x platinum in Australia, 2x platinum in Canada. So a chart position can be very misleading on how a song performed.

I think her label are playing the long game and are focusing on establishing Lizzo rather than aiming to make the album a hit, they are pushing the songs that are showing potential of taking off on their own and then just supporting them. I am sure they will return to the album eventually.

Really love Miley and Normani's singles, so pleased to see those climbs.

Could be, but apparently the show is very secretive about the songs until the episode airs.

@1163189529320284160 She is apparently a local radio presenter, so hopefully this is something promising and perhaps they are readying to release some new music.
  8. According to a Popjustice member this story came about from an 'unsolicited Madame Tussaud’s press release that was sent to several newspapers'. So basically they saw an opportunity to get free press by jumping on the anti-Cheryl press bandwagon, ironic they claim she is irrelevant but are using her name to give them some attention.

She has been performing it at her last few gigs, maybe getting comfortable with it in preparation for later this year. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZok3odxmVo https://twitter.com/mikebilly_/status/1140724602441744384

They were too late in adding Truth Hurts, by the time they got around to supporting it had peaked on streaming and the label had moved on to Good As Hell, so hopefully they won't mess around and get Good As Hell on the playlist as its just been moved up to track #5 on HHUK. Be nice to see everything align for Lizzo and get a decent chart hit in the UK.

That was because someone had booked to appear, in some form, across all Late Night shows tonight in America, which is obviously unprecedented and therefore it was assumed it be a huge name like Rihanna or Adele who could have that sort of power but its now being said that its actually just Will Ferrell.

Rihanna has reached a point in her career where she dictates when she records and releases and she has done tonnes of recording for her next release already, with it apparently due to be released this year. She is no longer churning out music because she clearly wants to put out bodies of work she loves rather than a collection of hit singles.
  13. I don't know if she'll bother anymore, she has Manchester Pride and I wouldn't be surprised if that is it for Cheryl and solo music.

It was recorded ages ago, before Truth Hurts took off and now with Good As Hell taking off then maybe they have decided to just throw it out.

Her website has been updated. http://www.leonalewismusic.com/ It used to just say 'Coming Soon'. Hopefully things aren't too far off now if they are making changes.

I doubt James Arthur will be taking part, he said a few weeks ago in an interview that he isn't and wouldn't do it just now because his career doesn't need it yet. I would hate for Leona to do it and not win, I hope she chooses her songs carefully and really works on her vocals to nail them. There is one act who would prove a real threat and I think its Joe McElderry, he has a very dedicated fan base, someone posted on another thread that he has won 5 other reality shows since X Factor.

Cheryl said a few weeks ago she'd be up for returning but The Sun reported because of her signing on for series 2 of The Greatest Dancer on BBC One it isn't possible, they are both made by Syco though so it would be cool if they did allow it but presumably the BBC would be against it. I mean Leona has sold over 30 Million records alone, then you take into acts like Little Mix who I believe are around 15 - 20 million, James Arthur will be getting up there now too. I hope Nicole is doing the celeb show but I wouldn't want her on the All Stars because for me it also doesn't feel right, ideally it would be Sharon but I think she is done with X Factor for good.

I hope Good As Hell smashes, quite funny that she released an album and then old tracks have took off on their own.

She shot a music video yesterday but its for the Songland song, so we will get that August/September time and apparently its uptempo.

A short clip of Leona singing Summertime, sounding great, at a private gig in Austria from Saturday. @1140724602441744384
  21. Think you may be speaking a little too early, its just climbed 10 spots on Spotify today.

Could that have been during their Official Big Top 40 countdown?

Two single's in a row now they have ignored Little Mix's latest singles despite the fact they suit their station to a tee, I don't think its a coincidence that they stopped supporting them as soon as they moved from Syco to RCA.

We will definitely get a new song around about August because of the show she is involved with in the US, Songland. So that is definitely coming.

So do we think its likely Capital won't be supporting the new Little Mix single? They don't seem to have given it any spins outside the play it got when they were in the studio. It doesn't make sense to me why Capital appear to not be supporting them anymore, they are still a huge name and should appeal to their listeners.
