The NOW Music Thread 2.0
I hope that Now releases another club hits compilation this year. I bought Ministry's of Sound's I <3 House compilation, not realizing the physical release was a continuous mix. I was so irate when I found that out, I was finally going to have "Outlines" on a compilation.

Rixton - We All Want the Same Thing
Record labels don't seem to get it that you can't wait forever to release albums in this current music climate. I loved "Wait On Me", but for some reason it didn't connect with the general public.

Nathan Sykes - Kiss Me Quick
He's adorable, but I can't see him as a solo popstar.

Going by iTunes, at least the Running tracklisting doesn't have the songs edited down like the regular Nows do, which is nice.

That's not surprising. I think they usually sell 200K-300K in their first week.

What's 13 pounds? Like $20 USD, that's a good deal still for 45 songs. The UK seems to get much better releases for cheaper.

Three A*Teens have a reunion
I like their material. The re-issue of Teen Spirit is great with "Heartbreak Lullaby," "Can't Stop the Pop," and "Give It Up". "Bounce With Me" is also great for a non-album track. They all look like they're aging gracefully, except facial hair doesn't suit Dhani at all, he's way too cute for that look.

The only reason I could think of as to why "My Prerogative", "Do Somethin'" and "3" weren't on the Now series is because they were from greatest hits compilations and Jive didn't want to sign over the rights to them because it might decrease album sales. I guess "Work Bitch" wasn't included because the compiler just wasn't interested in featuring it.

Does anyone know if any of the songs bleed/segue into each other yet?

The NOW Music Thread 2.0
I still don't get why "Work Bitch" or rather the inane "Work Work" didn't get put on Now 86. It reached #7, and even though it didn't have a long chart life, it still received quite a bit of exposure.

That's a superb tracklisting overall. But, there's still no "Outlines" though. :(

Pixie Lott - TBA
Her last album was much better than her sophomore album though, especially with those Japanese bonus tracks.

Is "Sun Goes Down" being released in the UK? What's going on? "Prayer In C" was a huge hit, and "Sun Goes Down" was released everywhere else. It's the same situation as "The Days" by Avicii.

I still don't get why they seem to think that they have to fill the compilation with at least 45 songs, they could lose a couple weak songs, that way they wouldn't have to shave the songs.

I'm torn, I'm disappointed in the continued decline in quality of the series, but I still want to buy it for all the random dance tracks that I cannot be arsed to purchase separately. I guess I'll buy it if the tracks don't bleed into each other.

Another big one is "Too Much" by the Spice Girls that appears on Now 41 for no apparent reason, after Geri left, and "2 Become 1" never appeared at all.

The only omission I'm sad about is "Outlines" by Mike Mago & Dragonette. It's odd to see "Go All Night," "Wait On Me," and "Air Guitar" made it. I guess they couldn't get licensing for bigger songs.

Jordin Sparks - Double Tap (ft. 2 Chainz)
This is quite amusing after years of purity rings and pure Christian living. She has an explicit song with 2 Chainz, and an arrow pointing to her butt asking for a double tap, and after Christian-themed songs like "God Loves Ugly," "Faith," "Save Me," and "Worth the Wait." I guess someone's taking notes from Nick Jonas. I like her, but this seems a little too late after her last studio album was 6 years ago. But, she's the only popstar I know of from my metro area, so that's pretty cool. I still think it's a travesty that "Vertigo" was only relegated to be an iTunes pre-order only bonus track for Battlefield, and never released anywhere else.

Nathan Sykes - 'Unfinished Business'
I loved The Wanted, but the notion of any of them having solo careers just seems dull. I didn't know Max was in Glee either. Nathan's super cute and adorable, but I'm not here for that sound at all.

Delta Goodrem - Only Human
That's not too far off, I can't wait to hear it!

Do you think Tina Barrett deserves her success?
Yes, but I still think she's only the fourth best member of S Club 7.
-
Do you think Sam Smith deserves his success?
No, his voice is shrill and his songs are dull and basic. He was somewhat bearable as a faceless featured artist on dance and pop songs, but that's it. I still cannot get over how terrible "Money On My Mind" is, which is probably why his label didn't pursue an American release of it. He seems too sanctimonious and precocious too.

I love "Just Can't Get Enough," "Gold Forever," and "One Way or Another (Teenage Kicks)". I even love "Walk This Way," but that's probably an unpopular opinion.
