  1. actually think democrats are more inclined to inch to the right to pick up the disillusioned never trumpers. the bubble will burst though. there is simply no tent big enough for the Democratic Party to try to appease everyone. as for the republican party, going "left-wing" would be like... going back to reagan-style conservatism which lmao. there is no resurrecting it and I hope to every god it crumbles this decade. truly a blight on the past 50 years or so
  2. thank you to all who voted! on to the final πŸ’•

interesting article from the atlantic suggesting we need to start paying more attention to k, or the dispersion of the virus, and not focus so much on r. most interesting are the implications for contact tracing; instead of targeting every infected person and tracking down everyone they came in contact with, it's more useful and more resourceful to go backwards to find the person who infected them and then forward trace from that person, as more often than not with this virus, it traces back to to one superspreader event or person.

  5. omfggggg finally 😭 I could place dead last in the final for all I care tbh I just wanted to qualify again also sad to see seyetana go, provided some (good) diversity in a dance-heavy semi!
  6. preferred this month's semi to last's, leaned more towards the dance tracks this time around. think I'll DNQ again tho lmao
  7. they have a vested interest in downplaying the seriousness of the situation (as they have downplayed the pandemic in general) so I definitely lean more towards "it's more serious than they're letting on" vs "he's not sick and it's a ploy to gain empathy and/or show that covid is no big deal" (which, if that was the case, he could have stayed safely in the White House w "mild symptoms" and carried on his "duties")
  8. just listening now as well, will have them in ASAP

  11. if the past 4 years have taught my anything it's that why "go high when they go low" when one could simply go so much lower you crack open the ceilings of hell to facilitate their entrance
  12. frankly more concerned about the 200k who died under his watch, some of whom I knew :-(
  13. I'm not saying I'm looking into witchcraft but it is October after all :-)
  14. if he does lose there certainly is no going back to pre-2016 times. the far right had their taste of victory and they won’t be willing to give it up so easily, whatever that may entail.
  15. this clairvoyance my reaction to this is may the karmic retribution trickle down...
  16. lmao @ telling pr**d b*ys to "stand by" β€” great that I have to worry about the threat of white supremacist violence incited by the president on national television between now and Election Day and possibly after but I guess I've barely been leaving the house anyway
  17. didn't watch it but saw tweets about it and i'm glad i didn't. i would've clawed my eyes out.
  18. personally I would love to peddle a bottle of melatonin to trump as a miracle debate enhancer

  21. a dem candidate with teeth, or a third actual left-wing party with momentum, or a total system overhaul putting an end to fptp voting and the electoral college, or term limits on supreme court justices, none of which of course I am holding my breath will happen anytime soon given The State Of Things
