  1. At least streaming isn’t to blame this time. Dai Dai would be number 1 if you remove this weeks paid-for sales for Rein Me In
  2. It tells you on iTunes what versions the songs are unless it’s the songs you can’t cherry-pick from the album
  3. Because it’s collectors that will buy the albums regardless of the tracklists and the casual buyers that won’t touch the albums because of the tracklists although collectors care about track repetition and casual buyers don’t. I got it from Asda because I had some money off vouchers that I wanted to use and I also popped to HMV to buy Ariana Grande’s album
  4. I reckon when he releases his next album, it will probably fail to star out Rein Me In
  5. If anyone is to blame for Rein Me In being number 1 this week, it’s the 3,866 people that bought it (sales and downloads)

I only found out at midnight that Petal was Ariana’s next single. Shame she didn’t plan this a lot sooner as it wouldn’t help to boost sales
  7. I got my copy of Now 124 today from Asda. Checked their yesterday and they didn’t have it which means they’ve stopped stocking the CDs before the release dates

It’s a free country. People can say what they really think and really want. Elon bought twitter for that reason so people can have freedom of speech to say what they want. You obviously don’t know the meaning of the word

I say things as they are because I’m a lion and not a sheep. If you don’t like it, you know where the door is. Just don’t hit yourself on the way out 🤣
  10. It said Christmas Day for the UK on IMDb but I reckon it will be Boxing Day

Last Christmas will break the record in future whether you like it or not. What makes you think it won’t? Rein Me In fans might cry about it

It sounds so fresh unlike that song that’s way past its sell-by date

Rein Me In will have the record for now then in a few years time, Last Christmas will break that record and the people who love Rein Me In and hate Last Christmas will be crying about it. The only way for Last Christmas to not be able to break the record if OCC do something about the Christmas songs. Also, at least Last Christmas managed its run at number 1 on ACR
  14. I don’t know why the release date says Christmas Day when cinemas are closed on Christmas Day. I reckon it will be released on Christmas Eve or Boxing Day

And wouldn’t Last Christmas be on 20 weeks at number 1 without ACR?

I wasn’t expecting Dai Dai to slightly increase its lead from Rein Me In and even though I can’t stand Choosin’ Texas, I hope it closes the gap on Rein Me In. I don’t mind Dancing On My Own reentering but Unwritten can go away

I do care about old records being broken and yeah, let’s do away with streaming. It’s like a disease to the charts. And I will say one thing and I don’t care if you disagree because I’ll say it anyway but Rein Me In being number 1 this long is worse than the 2020 lockdown

    Calm down

Aside from vinyl, CD sales are slowly going up again for whatever reason. Don’t know if like me, they’re getting fed up with streaming but I’m seeing CDs being glamorised all over social medias lately

Streaming is the one that’s killing the music stores and physical media. By banning streaming, it will encourage people to start using physical media again. If streaming was banned, I’d survive like I did in the 90s and 00s

Because having a hit in other countries can help a song to being a hit in your own country

Shakira should represent Colombia in Eurovision 2027

Having modern artists breaking records is making a mockery of the classic artists who had these records with effort. With Frankie, Bryan and Wets, people actually went out and bought these songs. Shame Olivia didn’t include Rein Me In as a bonus track on her album because if she did, it would’ve diluted the sales for the song itself

You forgot number 64 in the US where it’s probably peaked 🤣

Songs nowadays only get number 1 because of artists, not because it’s a good song
