Ok there's only one winner taking it all here, the other choices are... choices.

Well, my mask is off. I am humbled to have got this far and my luck was bound to run out eventually. Thanks for everyone's votes. I must admit, for the first time in the season I really couldn't decide my final two entries, but going for "I Can't Decide" didn't really seem that smart for a grand final. Ultimately I don't think anything would have topped the three female lead artists that made it. I was going to say more but perhaps this is all I feel like saying for now but congrats to the final three on a deserved run and to Conan for some inspired choices too. @DaTilt your favourite song choice would have come next if I had the chance to progress; I had no hesitation choosing my artist for this season and thank you @Calum for putting this event together for us all.

I'm going to make a bold prediction... Scene will win a second season.

Will this not work?

The bone structure is there, but I need to finish my review write up and then I can post that in full. If you want the Disc 3 collection, it will be typed up soon but it is available on Spotify here;

BJSC 184 Entry (April 2026) Host City: Sjär Themmeri, République d'Áskorza ============================== Artist: herCULES & DEV Song: BITE BACK Origin: 🇺🇸 USA herCULES is an alt pop artist from a tiny suburb in the East Bay, Hercules, California. Her project is multi-genre with fun party songs to introspective ballads to grungy rock bangers. The Bay Area artist brings a diverse perspective to her writing that gets you thinking as well as letting loose and diving into fantasy. Cr33ps, is her first single of her 5 song debut EP, She is herCULES. DEV was discovered by The Cataracs when she made an Amy Winehouse cover and posted it onto MySpace back in 2008. Her song Booty Bounce was sampled in Far East Movement's hit single Like A G6 which became a UK Top 5 hit. She was signed to Universal Republic in October 2010 and released her first official single, Bass Down Low that same year. Much of DEV's music is inspired by hip hop, as she believes that fans respond to, and she has been compared with Kesha and Uffie. Her musical genres have been cited as electro-crunk, electropop, and electro hop. BITE BACK is a raw alternative-pop single released in 2026 which has started to gain some traction on some social media platforms. Representing high-octane feminine attitude, herCULES enlisted the help of DEV to reach a wider audience and the two of them feature in a back and white music video. That's the most adorable Now cover ever! Is it to pay homage to the Madagascar series that was a big thing in that decade? I can't fault a thing with that work of art, the music is flawless and I want to own a copy for my CD collection so badly!!!

I just finished compiling my Disc 3 for it so it's almost ready, let me try and get it done this evening!

Zanmatony are ready to bite back this month following the end to their record qualification streak. Also could be a first outing for BuzzJack fave DEV in BJSC.

May I use your tracklists to include them in my Now reviews at the start of each thread? I want more people to discover these brilliant collections and the work that's gone into them, and of course giving full credit to you for them.

I can't see the back cover the image won't load. 😭

If we're talking Now 65... this was my Disc 3 attempt some time back when I looked at the omissions... Lost in space with planets all around?

That's a good collection there really, it might not be massive hits but some of those indie tracks are gems for me! 🙏🏼 (The Flaming Lips is the only other one I recall from the time but not essential).

The Boomtown Rats – Rat Crap Warren G – I Snot The Sherriff Bananarama – Prick Of The Night Nirvana – Heart-Shaved Box Mott The Hoople – All The Young Nudes

@nowmusic1993 this is still my dream to walk into this shop one day! 😁

I want to say thank you for all of them. I am sorry you experience some criticism but that's just part of this community and it's been critical of these things for a long time unfortunately. Your works are pieces of art as collections of forgotten music and I love every one of them and if they were in a shop I would purchase with real money.

Looks like a Midnight Sun to me. It's midnight, the clock is round like the planet, and the baby is a son called Kit.

Hold up... Joseph has a reputation? That might be a new entry to add to the Things I Learnt thread! 😁

@Harrison FB these are good tracklists. What are the names you're giving to each volume and can you give them a volume number or date of release so it's easy to reference the time period being covered. Thank you 🙏🏼

Scissor Scenesters says hello.
