  1. How did @Travis know that Apple were going to release a new flip phone this week? 😮 #Insiderinformation

You could always volunteer to be one of the imposters and get Calum to assign you with the latest A1 band! @Scene has arrived to win this series. Be warned.

I hope we get a better judging panel this time! So indecisive last series @Lee_J11 and @Viper* should have made the tough decisions but they kept cancelling each other out!

He is more desperate than some of us because he missed out on the last series! He's sounding very determined!

Assuming it's limited to 10 artists per category so only the first 30 mentors to enter will be allowed? It's going to be a bad rush but we all know @Spiceboy and @Mangø are fighting it out to be front of the queue!

I will look to try and enter something again. Also, just for transparency, it might not be obvious from the subject of the thread what this is about, so to alert mentors or Season 1 and Season 2 it seems right to give them a little nudge to let them know so they have the same equal chance as the rest of us to enter their first choice when the window opens in the next 24 hours! So checking through this thread for missing replies from past mentors, consider yourselves tagged if you wish to take part on time... @vibe @Ansel @Dj Cheeky magpie @Lukuzz @elgornio @Josh! @danG @!!! @uhsting @Travis @Herbs
  7. Princess Andy's votes are in!
  8. Princess Andy is not about to walk the plank... (Zanmatony votes incoming soon)
  9. I don't think we are hyping Herbilore enough, so here's some incentive.
  10. If only Princess (d)andy was in my semi...
  11. BJSC 55: Anneli Drecker - You Don't Have To Change ⭐️⭐️⭐️ I like the vibe of this one. What puts me off a little is the whistling in the chorus! It sounds quite nice though. It should have performed far better than its last place finish though. Unjustified result. BJSC 77: Sutrastore - Zero Point ⭐️⭐️⭐️ How did you go about whole 22 contests before participating again! It's as if you had zero point to enter (see what I did there, I know, I'm impressed too). Onto the song, it started off curiously, and I thought I had some idea what this might have turned into, and then the vocals started. It does feel like a return to what made Deandria successful in the early days, but it should have done better. BJSC 78: LOLAWOLF - Calm Down ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Oh wow, this is perhaps the biggest shift in Deandria history, what a whiplash from the last entry! How did this bop DNQ??? #endDeandriaracism I found myself enjoying this a lot surprisingly perhaps because it caught me off guard and it was such a surprise. The music video was quite cool too but I wish it was longer! BJSC 79: Daya - Sit Still, Look Pretty ⭐️⭐️ I've always heard that Daya was a BuzzJack fave. Perhaps the quirkinesss of the production helps, but it tends to go over my head a little, but back then I would probably have appreciated this more than I do now. At least it got you a qualification again! BJSC 80: Ms. Henrik - Slow Dancing ⭐️⭐️ What's this? Another type of shift in Deandria's electronic discovery era! It's got some elements to it that I like but overall I'd say it's quite forgettable for me, but perhaps at the time this was the 'in sound' so I can understand why it was attempted. Sorry Roba!
  12. @Spiceboy say sorry @Lee_J11 close your mouth when you're eating @777666jason thank you @Paddington James welcome home OneForSorrow!
  13. You called and I arrived. How may I be of assistance in this crisis?
  14. Princess Andy is a finalist. End of discussion.
  15. BJSC 188 Entry (August 2026) Host Country: Séyetana ============================== Artist: Petrojvic Blasting Company Song: Princess Andy Origin: 🇺🇸 USA Petrojvic Blasting Company, later known as The Blasting Company, are an American nouveau-folk band based in Los Angeles, California. The band was founded in 2008 by half-brothers Justin Rubenstein and Josh Kaufman, and originally started as a street band called Albania Mania, with music inspired by Serbian folk songs. The band's music is inspired by the music of Eastern Europe, particularly the music of the Balkans, and New Orleans dixie. The band has also been noted for its folk influences and Bohemian style. The band uses a variety of more orthodox instruments including an accordion, as well as a Bulgarian tapan. The band wrote the soundtrack for the television miniseries Over the Garden Wall, for which it was critically acclaimed. Princess Andy is a wonderfully eccentric blend of Balkan-inspired jazz, gypsy brass and dark storytelling. Released in 2010, the track follows a bizarre tale of a shark-fighting fisherman called Andy, who wears a "crown of shark teeth on his head." With its chaotic energy, sinister humour and almost cinematic sense of adventure, Princess Andy feels like a drunken sea shanty colliding with a cabaret band. It is strange, infectious and completely unconventional. 16. I'm glad I didn't enter this or nine would be calling me out for every incorrect answer and I'd be left embarrassed! I applaud the smart people here though.
  17. Thank you Cheztopher for your hosting tonight and for all the points for Suki. Here was the song I originally confirmed which I spared you all from;
  18. @Cody DiLaurentis thanks for giving Morgana another attempt in one of these contests, she was a success story for me in BJSC last year.
  19. It's all hypothetical, but if by some miracle the Now That's What I Call Music empire still existed in some sort of capacity by 2033, how would you choose to mark the 50th anniversary?
  20. I'd love to see ANYTHING 90s happen but apart from completing the Yearbook series we won't.
  21. Are there no sailors or fishermen among us? 🎣
  22. Zanmatony's first ever trip to the land of Skall was one to savour. It was the perfect chance to showcase some old electronic chillout music from the turn of the century and get back to qualifying ways once again. Here are our votes from the Semi Final stage of the contest; +12 HENGE – Mushroom One {FSR Rontvia} [QUALIFIED] +10 Collide – Freak Like Me {Deandria} [QUALIFIED] +8 Chayla Hope – Love In Lo-Fi {East Rukahavian} [QUALIFIED] +7 Isabel LaRosa – Her Face {Bronzil} [QUALIFIED] +6 Shye – Smoke {Sovarasma} [QUALIFIED] +5 RMB – Experience (Follow Me) {Land of DW} [QUALIFIED] +4 Stand Atlantic – Lucid {Taahino} [QUALIFIED] +3 Lena Leon – Chemical {Freidland} [QUALIFIED] +2 waist – Bravado {The Spodic Empire} [QUALIFIED] +1 almost monday – No More Regrets {Ben's Sanctuary} [DID NOT QUALIFY] Here are our votes from the Final stage of the contest; +18 Shye – Smoke {Sovarasma} [13th] +15 HENGE – Mushroom One {FSR Rontvia} [4th] +13 Collide – Freak Like Me {Deandria} [41st] +12 Chayla Hope – Love In Lo-Fi {East Rukahavian} [14th] +11 Domenique Dumont – Visages Visages {Skall} [15th] +10 RMB – Experience (Follow Me) {Land of DW} [35th] +9 waist – bravado {The Spodic Empire} [28th] +8 tlen – patnik {Jadakissnia} [12th] +7 RAY – MOD {Lentyll} [6th] +6 Sophia Stel – Molly In The Club {Neliönoir} [7th] +5 Lena Leon – Chemical {Freidland} [27th] +4 Liminal – The Crop {Danæviia} [20th] +3 Ellee Duke – Adrenaline {Lookylion} [23rd] +2 Roly Porter – An Open Door {Elëdan} [18th] +1 Boys Go To Jupiter – Lovers Always Lose {Herbilore} [40th] It seems that on this rare occasion, none of the three podium finishers were in our points for this month, but we did help support some of the nations further down in getting their points on the board! It will also go down as one of the longest semi finals Zanmatony appeared in, featuring a non-qualifying 37 minute entry by Dobago (which Sovarasma delegates bestowed a certificate of completion for listening to the full length!).
  23. Hope you came prepared for sea shanty! ⚓️
  24. Speaking of German bangers, I hope that the Christmas markets return soon, I want some more bratwurst. 🌭
  25. Would have been better off going for Rod, Jane & Freddy instead. Early preview of Beaverdonia's entry...
