Starting to get into this one a bit now.

Looks like we've both been working 1997 compilations today @nowmusic1993 haha. Mines in the custom tracklist thread.

I did add it, on Disc 2!

And one final project for now until the eventual release of 1996 Yearbook, here is the finished Xtra Boost collection for 1997;

Here you go Bré Persephonia does acid next month.

Sorry for giving everyone a long recess break to stick their kettles on and find a snack.

Rontvia shining a beacon of hope on BJSC!

Therein lies the problem I think with these odds and predictions threads, not in all cases but at least some I feel when there is an overwhelming negative response or reaction to an entry and many people predict it to DNQ it gives little incentive to the sender to vote for anyone else's entries and it's understandable that they may quietly choose to withdraw from the contest based on negative feedback.

When both long songs qualify what will everyone try to do next month...

I know I've said it before but you are such a good compiler @nowmusic1993 probably one of the best I've ever seen. Your sequencing is incredible!

I've decided to oblige to your request and make another one for 1998, and here it is; @gooddelta @nowmusic1993 @Harrison FB @geraintlewis268 @Tylky tagging you just this one time as I opted to move these posts out from the official Now thread to keep them separate.

FSR Rontvia will qualify. I am manifesting this.

I'm In!

HerbiMORE or you'll be HerbiSORE.

What is this cosmos where two legends of the game team up to form this unstoppable force!

And still the UK #1 on the day I was born continues to evade me, and probably for good reason.

I nominate we assign uhsting as BuzzJack's Head of Social Engagement and allow them to source whatever platform they deem to be fit for purpose. They can also figure out how to stream to Discord too.

Votes are in with about 2 minutes spare left of the final entry playtime.

Not many, and never BJSC, but a couple at least; Nuggets 15: Slow Drive - Star Roving Movie Forum Song Contest 1: Danny Elfman - Ice Dance

Oh my. What a big decision this is for @Bror to make. I wonder if he will pick now as a good time to take a nap...

SF2 tonight >>>

Some people may choose to stare at the sun on Wednesday rather than to earn their Dobagan certificate!

Having taken a trip down memory lane with some 1999 classics, I worked on a further unofficial collection of extra music from the year and compiled it into a four disc package for everyone's enjoyment! Full disclosure: this is not an official release. (🙁)

That artwork is giving Scotland 2's solar eclipse.

BJSC 187 Entry (August 2026) Host Country: Skall ============================== Artist: The Black Mighty Orchestra Song: Ocean Beach [Cybophonia Cinematic Remix] Origin: 🇮🇹 Italy The Black Mighty Orchestra is an Italian music project best known for blending house, disco, funk, jazz, and soul into sophisticated dance music. The project was launched by Cesare 'Black Mighty Wax' Cera, Irma Records producer and label manager, together with some of the musicians who have contributed to develop the label profile over the years. Formed to pull together live collaborators and contributors from various Irma Records releases, they went on to release their defining 18-track album To the Sky in 1999, spanning funk, disco, nu-jazz, and soulful house. Ocean Beach is one of the group’s standout tracks, capturing the relaxed spirit of a coastal sunset with warm percussion, gentle flute melodies, and soulful jazz influences. It samples a classical piece by American composer Henry Mancini called "Lujon" which is the percussion instrument featured throughout the song right from the beginning.
