Pretty awesome list. But a strange number 1, because "Cassy O" was already succesful (charts/radio) last spring/summer.

The new Jess Glynne-track is wonderful. Karen Harding, I got the releasemail a couple of weeks ago but forgot about it, awesome early 90's retro-sounding track. Mike Mago and James Bay too, but a bit too late to add them to my charts, because they already have been on the radio for months. Maybe their next singles. Loved the George Ezra-album as well, but some radio-overkill in 2014. Need a George Ezra-break for a couple of months.

I was a huge fan of this song (and a couple of others on her album), but I was really surprised it went number 1 in the official singles-charts as well. Music in French language is quite rare, although recently some succesful singles from Stromae, Indila and Axelle Red.

Nice entry from Rae Morris. She's very talented. I bought her signed first basic EP's a couple of years ago from her website ... Great to see she's now becoming one of the major female artists in Europe.

Love the new Marina & the Diamonds and Jessie Ware-single. + old veterans Texas :) My signed LP should arrive one of these days. Really looking forward to hear their new interpretitions of the older hits. I found their previous album pretty decent, although it didn't get that much attention in the media.

Nice chart with a lot of diversity, I really appreciate that. I am definately going to subscribe to this one. Need to check "Louane", I was this weekend in France for some monthly shopping and I found that album in the shelves, and I made a pic of the cover to check it out later at home (as reminder). There have been lately many French artists gaining popularity over here (Christine and the Queens and Indila even at Nr. 1, but also Zaz, Coeur de Pirate, The Avener, Brigitte,...) Very interesting this revival. French, Italian and German music was very popular over here in 60's, 70's and 80's, but disappeared over the last decade. IMO a good thing, because it brings diversity in a world dominated by UK & US music and culture. It's great to hear something different from time to time.
