  1. Thanks Rob for making this easy x Not sure about catching up on everything I missed (details will all still be in the opening post) but UPDATE POST ARE BACK. xx Going to use this as well. Basically, my friend sent me this live video, absolutely adored the aesthetic and HOW THE HELL IS HE DOING ALL THIS LIVE??? I followed the link for the Apple Music/ Spotify studio version in the description and loved the studio version even more (for the sound x), which is why I entered that, though I seriously considered entering the live version just so everyone could see this. High recommend checking this out anyway. It's that gritty analogue electronic sound, a bit NIN - very my thing. Hope you all enjoy. x
  2. Loved the presentation Rob, really hyped for this contest! I'm pretty sure he got the name because he mostly uses analogue synths, hence no computer. :o t3guovNwxh0 Live version here, found it first. Was very tempted to enter just because of how damn cool it is but there are obvs advantages to the studio version.

Kind of same. I had what I assumed was a normal thing weeks ago (and probably was based on the number of UK cases at the time). I isolated for days until I was better but I would still feel terrible if I had passed it on.

Germans are very health conscious as a rule, my cousin lives in Germany atm and I video called her yesterday. People are much more likely to go the doctors, keep themselves healthy and of course their health service is pretty great. Not so great at curfews though it would seem.
  5. That video! :o  So hyped for this, already got an entry. Similarly to last month just deciding on which version (this time whether I submit a live or studio version).

We've been told the same, and I'm just here like well some have already been asking these questions, lots of them know what's going on. So far I've just said it's hard to say, things could change at any time but for the moment we're just continuing as normal. I understand that we shouldn't spread rumours or incite panic (well more realistically, get their hopes up- they're probably buzzing for some time off) but it seems more counter productive to close up, avoid the question or change the subject. It'll just make them start thinking we know something and schools are going to close. Which realistically, they probably will before long. Not that I'd say that.
  7. Totally get it, I swear you've either hosted or stepped in and saved like 90% of the contests in the past few months. You've been an amazing BJSC mod/ constant backup host, hope you get to enjoy being a normal BJSCer now!
  8. Great song to win! What an anthem. :o Really enjoyed this month as a whole too. I actually had Goliath up even higher when I first started ordering, things were really tight in my votes for me.
  9. 30 Aelandor ∅ King Creosote & Jon Hopkins - Bats In The Attic (Unravelled) 136 Umm, if the first post was an error ignore me but it looks like you took off 9 instead of adding it. :( EDIT: Nevermind.
  10. Yasss! I'm really surprised actually, didn't think I'd make it through this time. First Q in a while too. Thanks for the botes.
  11. Will be voting soon, am listening to semi 2 now and omg WHAT is this quality (so far at least). It's too good this month, making voting difficult.
  12. Ohh yeah probably! Should've saved it for that, forgot about UP tbh, been ages since I entered. Tbh I didn't know what to enter, I'd found this about a year ago and I've had it on semi regular rotation since- just really love the sound and thought I might as well share, definitely expected to DNQ but that doesn't mean I'm not disappointed in the lot of you (except Mattias x).
  13. Aw sorry Jade, but yas it was great! I suppose Bré, still annoyed at myself but hay, it's all just stats and it's easy to work out the alternative, music discovery is le main thing. ^_^ I know, sorry! :(
  14. Nooo at me missing voting and therefore missing top 10. Between Christmas in retail and Christmas with family and mounds of paperwork for the new job I let this slide. :( Should've just voted after the plug sesh grr. Amazing winner though, glad it came out top. The most annoying thing is I had a rough voting list after the plug sesh, so here it is for anyone interested in hypothesising: +12 Walking In The Aeroche: Pantha Du Prince - The Winter Hymn (feat. Queens) +10 Turkey Avium! : Two Steps from Hell - Christmas Medley +08 Jadamistletoenia: Coil - Christmas Is Now Drawing Near +07 Dereindeeria: Owl City - Humbug +06 Santas Sleigh FlysOverSnowdownia: Oh Wonder - This Christmas +05 Juletimebellsdonia: Kate Bush - Snowflake +04 Frosty The Beaver: Vanessa Carlton - Do You Hear What I Hear? +03 Séywewishyouamerrychristmasandahappynewtana: µ's - Snow Halation +02 Christmas in Taahino: Pvris - Winter +01 Perselfonia: The Retrobot - Christmas Robot I didn't get round to that 2nd listen but I'll see if I can make time for it before the #festive season is completely gone, but those were my initial thoughts. :o

Okay seems to be back up! I'm back and re-starting but can also do another day in addition if anyone else would prefer.

Yeah I'm going to leave it for the time being, a shame but we got through a few songs and we've got plenty of time before the deadline. ^_^ If anyone else wants to carry on by all means of course, just without the playlist it'd be a headache for me to host so I'll try again another day.

Yeah looks like the site is down, may have to reschedule. :( Could try Saturday I suppose? Depends if it comes back but don't want to just be waiting round for it, especially if there's nearly 10 people waiting doing nothing.

Anyone up for a festive plug tomorrow?
  23. Of course not. I'm a Lib Dem member, I know plenty of people who'd vote LD but never Labour and vice versa, what we NEED is PR. They picked up over 3 million votes and would've had 70+ seats if our system was anywhere near fair. Lib Dems aren't Labour and Labour aren't Lib Dem, they can't just merge just because both sets of voters would probably prefer anything to the Tories right now. They could probably work out a coalition with the right timing and right sets of leadership however. LDs were winning by-elections and gathering momentum over the summer. Unfortunately Jo Swinson didn't do the party any favours, I think she had the best of intentions and was probably a good MP but was never the leader the LDs needed, really wishing Vince Cable had stayed on until the end of the year now. I voted for Ed Davey originally in the leader election too. Not all on her though, the media all but ignored the Lib Dems in head to head TV debates, killing their numbers in the polls.
