  1. Want You Back and Youngblood showed an interesting transition to a more pop rock sound for 5SOS, with the latter being my favourite song from them along with Girls Talk Boys. Stir Fry is a great, upbeat song from Migos, with some fantastic production from Pharrell Williams. All three of the rappers sounded like they had a fun time doing their verses. I also like On The Loose. It's probably my favourite of the Niall solo tracks I've heard. SICKO MODE is a swell song. The beat switches were constructed very well and each section had its own unique, hypnotic sound that got me out like a light, like a light, like a light.
  2. Propane Nightmares is a DnB classic. HOLD ME TIGHT OR DON'T is a pretty good song from FOB.
  3. INXS? King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard (who got trapped in a blizzard and got wasted on sizzard)? AC/DC?
  4. Tame Impala for the Australian band?
  5. All of my friends are welcome to watch Bumblebee in their spare time regardless of their gender. :)

  7. And it has been nominated for BRIT Album Of The Year 2019
  8. This was a great sequel to Wreck-It Ralph. There were a lot of Internet references but they didn't feel too in your face. I also really liked the world-building established in the Internet, including the Slaughter Race universe. It also gave a lot of depth to Ralph and Vanellope and also made a change to the status quo by having Vanellope move to the Slaughter Race rather than just pressing the reset button. Another one of my favourite aspects had to be the virus Arthur, he served as a legitimately threatening creature with a spine-chilling performance from John DiMaggio. I got Doctor Who villain vibes from this character. It was also one of the few Disney Animation movies (that weren't Pixar) of this decade not to have a twist villain, another one being Moana, where the twist was that the villain turned out to be a good being poisoned by evil. One part I wasn't keen on was the Ralph Goat video, though the part where a man is trying to give a love heart to a cat video but ended up giving it to the goat video did make me chuckle. The film saved the bunny pancake joke for the post-credits scene and it made me laugh when the bunny exploded after eating too many. Rating: OUTSTANDING [96]
  9. Tim Burton's Charlie And The Chocolate Factory. I remember seeing this in a now closed down cinema back when I was about 5 or 6 and I had a great time watching it.
  10. This is it! The moment you've all been waiting for! My favourite album of 2018. As said in the clue, this album fits in the jazz genre. Doctor Blind guessed Heaven And Earth by Kamasi Washington, but I haven't listened to that album. I've only listened to one or two jazz albums that came out in 2018, and the special one I'm talking about is... 1. Sons Of Kemet - Your Queen Is A Reptile This is such a colourful jazz album. With each track representing an influential black female figure in history (such as Harriet Tubman and Angela Davis), every track brings a sense of spirit and celebration to the album’s representations with its wonderful instrumentation. The last track My Queen Is Doreen Lawrence also has a similar saxophone line to Space Carnival from The Comet Is Coming’s 2016 album Channel The Spirits (which made it onto my 2016 EOY countdown at the time of posting it). I can see the similarities more after finding out that the saxophonist of The Comet Is Coming, Shabaka Hutchings, also worked with Sons Of Kemet on this album; he wrote all the songs and played his usual role of saxophonist like he did in Channel The Spirits. And that is it! That has been my Top 75 Albums of 2018. Thank you to all who have took their time to read this, I am very grateful of you! Let's hope for more gems in 2019, and a possible Favourite Albums of The Decade topic from me. Album Hall Of Fame: 2015: Foals - What Went Down 2016: David Bowie - Blackstar 2017: Temples - Volcano 2018: Sons Of Kemet - Your Queen Is A Reptile
  11. Flickin Your Hair and Sober are some good ones
  12. 2. Florence + The Machine - High As Hope I’m starting to appreciate Florence + The Machine more this year, as I look deeper into the themes of their music. Their 4th album High As Hope is a very poetic album dealing with struggles, loneliness and nostalgia. We get tracks like Patricia which serves as a tribute to punk icon Patti Smith, and The End Of Love which is about learning to love someone out of free will and not just to replace the lover you previously lost.
  13. 3. Ex:Re - Ex:Re The first solo album from Daughter lead singer Elena Tonra, going by her solo stage name Ex:Re. My heartstrings were pulled by the melancholy material featured on Daughter’s last album Not To Disappear, and this solo album managed to do so just as well, if not, even more than NTD. I love how this album tackles the problems caused by serious relationships as well as post-break up phases. 5AM is a heartbreaking song dealing with a toxic, abusive relationship and Crushing involves the downsides of being unable to express your true emotions, backed up by lines of gloomy guitar reverb.
  14. 4. IDLES - Joy As An Act Of Resistance A gritty punk album packed with tons of raw energy and political themes. It’s like Sleaford Mods, except fueled with more rage and rebellion. Also, Colossus is probably one of the most tense, dramatic album openers of the year.
  15. DalekTurret32 posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
I'm guessing Dermot Kennedy, Ella Mai or Mahalia
  16. 02. Mark Ronson - Nothing Breaks Like A Heart (feat. Miley Cyrus) [37-09-04-02] (Really liking Miley's Americana vocal style) 04. SHY FX - Roll The Dice (feat. Stamina MC & Lily Allen) [02-02-03-04] (Nice to see Stamina MC return to the airwaves. Loved his vocals in DJ Marky's 2002 track LK and D Kay and Epsilon's 2003 track Barcelona) 05. Ava Max - Sweet But Psycho [19-16-12-05-05] 06. Billie Eilish - when the party's over [20-30-10-01-01-03-06-06] 08. BROCKHAMPTON - J'OUVERT [01-02-01-02-01-01-02-05-07-08-10-08] 11. Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody [03-05-06-08-11] 14. The Prodigy - Timebomb Zone [08-11-12-14] (I have No Tourists on clear violet vinyl) 16. Los Unidades & Pharrell - E-Lo (feat. Jozzy) [38-32-36-16] 18. Marshmello & Bastille - Happier [22-01-02-02-03-07-11-15-17-18] 19. Queen - Don't Stop Me Now [08-12-16-18-19] 20. Adelphi Music Factory - Javelin (Calling Out Your Name) 22. FISHER - Losing It 26. The Chemical Brothers - MAH (So hyped for the new album) 27. CamelPhat x Cristoph - Breathe (feat. Jem Cooke) [32-25-19-23-27] 29. Sub Focus & Dimension - Desire [30-15-05-08-11-20-30-37-24-29] 36. Jax Jones and Years & Years - Play [20-24-31-36] 37. Queen - Another One Bites The Dust [14-21-26-32-37] 39. Au/Ra & CamelPhat - Panic Room [14-05-04-08-06-03-03-04-05-06-03-01-02-06-08-11-16-23-10-13-21-29-34-38-39] (I'm starting to get into CamelPhat's material) My favourites from the chart flashback are Timber, Rather Be and Dance With Me. Also, have you heard of Pitbull's remix of Dame Tu Cosita?
  17. 9.0 The Woman Who Fell to Earth 10 The Ghost Monument 10 Rosa 9.0 Arachnids in the UK 9.0 The Tsuranga Conundrum 10 Demons of the Punjab 9.5 Kerblam! 9.5 The Witchfinders 8.5 It Takes You Away 10 The Battle of Ranskoor Av Kolos 11 Resolution
  18. 5. The Good, The Bad And The Queen - Merrie Land The recent albums from Damon Albarn’s projects have managed to impress me a lot. Blur’s The Magic Whip made it to my Top 10 Albums of 2015 back when I did the list in January 2016 and while there have been some 2k15 gems I have listened to as time went by that might have pushed this album down, it still holds up quite well. Gorillaz’s two albums from last year and now (respectively Humanz and The Now Now) have both been great. The only Albarn album I have listened to in full that came out before The Magic Whip was Blur’s 90s alternative classic Parklife, which I recommend for those who are into Britpop. The most recent of these projects is the comeback album of supergroup The Good, The Bad And The Queen in the form of Merrie Land, which was their first album in 11 years. This album paints a picture of a dystopian post-Brexit Britain and the many ideas that Albarn and Co. have constructed to go with the 11 tracks go together well, with some nice traditional instrumentation.
  19. 6. Teleman - Family Of Aliens What I love about this album is that some of the songs involve the protagonist connecting with a special someone from a different universe, an idea explored in other great albums I’ve previously heard such as NZCA Lines’ Infinite Summer and The xx’s eponymous debut album from 2009. Not only that but the album also gives off some brilliantly-produced synths and dreamy, uplifting piano sounds. Overall, it is an excellent indie pop album.
  20. 7. Beach House - 7 An album called 7 is at number 7. Seven-ception! Anyway, Beach House's latest album 7 takes their usual shoegaze sound and adds some psychedelic elements to it. While most of the lyrics involve issues caused during serious relationships, there’s also some nice, breath-taking imagery presented in songs like Dark Spring and Lose Your Smile, complete with outstanding production.
  21. 8. Anna Calvi - Hunter A marvellous exploration of gender and identity, with a 90’s rock style reminiscent of PJ Harvey’s early material. Almost every single track is amazing, with a few of my favourites being Indies or Paradise and Don't Beat The Girl Out Of My Boy. Here's to hoping this album continues Calvi's streak of Mercury noms.
  22. 9. Parquet Courts - Wide Awaaaaake! Really digging this indie punk sound, reminds me of Kaiser Chiefs mixed with The Strokes. The album feels more punky in contrast to the laidback Human Performance, and there’s some great jabs at society as found in tracks like Violence.
  23. 10. John Grant - Love Is Magic The album I was referring to in the clue was Grant's 2015 album Grey Tickles, Black Pressure, which previously made it to my 2015 EOY. Grant's latest album Love Is Magic explores the pains of intimacy, as well as the bleak reality of our world, complete with some of the depressive downbeat characteristics found on Grant’s previous album Grey Tickles Black Pressure, such as enchanting synths and haunting harmonies. Not all of it is doom and gloom! Album opener Metamorphosis has Grant putting on a fun, over-the-top voice while blurting out peculiar images and Tempest takes a look at nostalgia with some mentions of a few Atari games from the 80’s.
