yep! steps version is slightly slower + is 20 seconds longer so glad they’ve made some tweaks

i was so scared when catherine, eugene + daniel got theirs because, besides catherine, annie deserved it the most for the layers + the complexity she brought to alexis’ character in the final season. i was thinking there’s no way that all 4 of them will get it.. i’m glad to be wrong. 7 awards in all - absolutely swept the board! i’m just sad it’s all over for now :(

you are allowed to promote on bbc. they even have people plugging their stuff on ‘pointless’. i mean, graham norton doesn’t get up with the artists each week does he? what context is that used in if that was the case? it’s also rubbish about syco artists performing on the x factor. that’s on itv, they can do what they like. the only reason they didn’t have syco acts on each week is because, besides little mix at the time, they didn’t have a roster of acts that people would want to see.

genuinely curious as to why you were cringing? it’s written by sia + greg kurstin with production by jewels + stone / the alias, it’s literally been crafted in the hands of great writers + producers.

i didn’t say that though? they have gone into this on their terms - there’s no label forcing it, for example. they’re there now because they want to be - not because they were forced to submit like before. if they weren’t happy, they wouldn’t have signed up. i am not bothered either way, i love their solo tracks on 2.0 but the pcd ‘sound’ is nicole so maybe they wanted a familiar sound with the comeback.

excited to hear the longer version when it’s released tomorrow - i’ve had a couple of weeks with the leak so i’m interested to see how different it is. today has been a great day to be a step fan! great but expensive with all those album formats :lol:

i thought the film really lost its heart + took itself a little too seriously. the tone of the film had the majority of the humour ripped out due to her not having a sidekick + it felt like it was 80 minutes of pure fight. there was no real discovery of who she was or what she was capable of. she was a warrior from the start + it felt really long because of it. i liked the idea of adding xian lang - it gave the story a little depth + some mystery but ultimately it missed the mark with it losing the incredible music + a real major character. they didn’t even give her a proxy, it was just a lot of silent thought. in the end, it was enjoyable enough to watch but i don’t think i’d watch it again (+ i’m glad i didn’t pay for it oops)

yup! but i knew it was coming when i saw it was in semi 1. it’s a great pop track but it was never going to connect with that set of listeners because it had no real quirks + only a few pop tracks were going to qualify from this set (hence the list of dnq’s) congrats to those who got through! i’m excited to hear the semi 2 tracks in the final, i have a feeling my votes will be mainly from that side.

tucked would have been a great way to keep the casuals interested - it is miles ahead of smile + if it had the same radio support as smile is getting, it could genuinely be a hit. the chorus + hook is insane, it doesn’t leave you - that’s what she needed!
