it's clear they want a drama-free series. that's probably why they wanted to stay away from popstars + chose middle of the road 'celebs'. the whole seann walsh debacle, plus faye & ashley receiving a lot of backlash meant the beeb were in a state of damage control from early on.

omg yes at the vinyl! i just bought it on a whim from the UO US store with the DW + some other random ones. i nearly choked when i saw how much the my everything vinyl goes for now. makes me wish i’d bought two!

i’m really liking this song but that performance was so lifeless.. why didn’t she sing most of the chorus?! the backing vocals were so low that it lost any momentum at the biggest point of the song. i guess she was nervous!

i just saw this today and was literally blown away, i loved it! i think i actually enjoyed it more than the animated one.. naomi scott really was a revelation, she was amazing - i got goosebumps during her big speechless moment. in fact, the whole cast were pretty fab. i agree with the jafar elements not being spine-chillingly terrifying but i think aladdin, jasmine + the genie more than made up for it!
