i don’t understand what more you would want from a video like this? genuinely interested. the time it’s taken from release to shoot to editing.. it’s a miracle this is as good as it is. thirsty bitches made them rush it out so any editing issues are down to the pressures they’ve felt to get it out asap.

think about us - they’ve obviously gone into panic mode because ‘wlm’ didn’t do what they expected it to. they can’t go too off-kilter now because they don’t want to alienate any further potential buyers. personally, of the two, i prefer ‘tau’ but overall i think they’d get a bigger hit out of the cure, especially at this time of year.

didn’t dermot say the cast of mamma mia were going to be on? it’s probably to generate some dvd + blu-ray sales!

i can't at this 'tightrope' shade - it's in my top 5! i think sara's version kinda killed the song + turned it into a dullard. what i love most about the original is the melancholic highs + lows, how unsteady the production feels + michelle's delivery of the journey - literally walking a tightrope on track. echoing the love for 'come alive', though - that's a transformation! the kind of reimagining i can get behind.

i'm not sure people would like this as much if it wasn't little mix. for me, it's kinda amongst the worst on the album. definitely their worst single (if it happens) which is a damn shame because they were killing it. i applaud the message but they couldn't have got that message through with something a little more.. melodically pleasing?

i’d say to just let ashley enjoy being top of the leaderboard because there’s absolutely no way is she going on to win the show, which is a shame cause she’s a fabulous dancer. i’m getting super pissed off with the under/over marking of some contestants. faye as a dancer is miles ahead of joe but they got the same score? i’m thoroughly convinced that they are overmarking joe because they think he’s gonna win it + he can’t be getting 7’s + 8’s as the winner.

ah, well! i’m sure they’ll hold the opinion of us paying fans in higher regard.

ngl i agree with this. of course it’s a million times better than any other pop queen could do but i think she could have saaaang it more. plus, the ‘spin’ they put on it by having her sing on half a bar delay makes it sound like she’s out of time. when the original is so well known to change the structure like that, even in such a minor way, is jarring. that said.. i have still listened on loop + i hope we get to hear her do it live at some point.

you’re right, it’s not naive - i apologise! upon reflection whilst i can see it’s not pity, i think it’s more about critics being a little generous toward her, for whatever reason. i do hope that she’s taking care of herself, physically + mentally because she’s literally my fave pop star and i’d hate something to affect her wanting to do it. she makes it so easy to love her :wub:

i love ariana so let's not get it twisted. i do, however, think she's being given too much credit. here's the thing; it's not a personal album. and it's not cohesive, quite the opposite. how can a beyonce demo be personal to ariana? there are three parts to the album mixed up to make it seem like there was an idea there. the sh!t songs were written by pharrell + have pharrell-by-numbers productions, the okay-to-good tracks were done by tommy brown+co and the great tracks are by max, savan + ilya. when pharrell was commissioned to produce on the album, he was already working with justin timberlake + on the NERD album and the label thought they were going to be massive/ he was going to be hot property. they flopped + probably couldn't get her to work with anyone else once the album was done and they just figured they'd push the (only) good tracks. (ntltc, giaw + breathin')

some, not all.. it got almost universal acclaim. it's being realistic - they have been very easy on her because of what happened + it's naive to think otherwise.

pity. i hands down refuse to believe that critics sat + listened to this and felt positively about it. if what happened hadn't happened this album would've been dragged.

itv have spent some serious $$$ on this! whoever has been in casting this year deserves a raise/job on strictly. i mean, the only way was up from last years line-up but this is honestly one of the best line-ups in a reality show ever. it speaks volumes that they've gone for loads of c-listers as opposed to trying to get an a-lister and then having to make-do with z-listers to make up the rest. who'd have thought that strictly would have a youtube 'star', capital dj & that guy from red dwarf + dancing on ice would have gemma collins, jane danson, saara aalto & FRENCHY from Grease etc.. insane.

that's because richard had a personality, knew that he was good & accepted praise when it was given and thanked them for it. rahul has obviously studied baking to be as good as he is so this whole "it's good? really? sorry.." persona is grating on me. it's obvious he's not an extrovert so i don't know if it's an act, or even if he's playing up to it even more than usual, but it's not hard to see why he has to buy friendship with cake. dullard.
