now this i get. i understand how it can seem odd, i saw the edit + i thought a bimini win was coming. i'd accepted the 'inevitable' because i could see how both queens brought it. i'm just really saddened to see some of the reactions + the discrediting of lawrence, that's not what the show is about. everyone gravitated towards bimini because she was such a ray of light + positivity so to see her supporters act this way has been a shame - i don't just mean on the forum. taking a stand back + looking at the season overall, i think they tried to edit it so that bimini had their flaws at the beginning + showed lawrence's flaws at the end. it looked to me like they were trying to justify the storyline for both of them - how they're not perfect etc. i didn't agree with lawrence going off on ellie + never failing to stop going on about it. i don't think it's enough to discount his talent. what's funniest to me is that, even though i wanted him to win last night, lawrence wasn't even my favourite - i stan a'whora :lol:

i said you picked out what i said, not picked on me. the point i was making is that you picked out that comment from me because our opinions differ but from other posters who seemingly agree with you, and have made similar points, you only picked mine out to claim it was an odd point to make - that’s all x

odd debate point? before the break bimini was bottom 2 + safe for 3 weeks, lawrence had already had 2 wins. strange that you would pick my comment out when there are others in here who have said that bimini had an upward trajectory, indicating that she started off poorly. also, you may think it was a strong performance but bimini themselves said that if it hadn’t been for the break, they probably wouldn’t have got to the final. but go off, i guess.

well lawrence literally said “i can’t do that” but if that’s all you’ve taken from what i said then so be it.

the show ran for 10 weeks though, not 4. lawrence had 3 badges + the general consensus from the judges + fans is that if the show hadn’t stopped filming, bimini wouldn’t be where she was. the first half of the season can’t be discounted just because bimini got better in the second half :lol:

i didn’t say lawrence was perfect, none of them were. i was defending the point that you discounted lawrence for having tough weeks at the end by countering that, recalling bimini having tough weeks at the beginning. i feel that saying lawrence winning is underwhelming is totally disregarding what she did. how can it be underwhelming when you’ve just admitted that her runways were amongst the most polished, did really well when she won + won the second most badges of them all. disappointed, i understand. but underwhelming? with that track record.. i don’t think.

you’re basing your ‘metrics’ on personal taste, though? for me, tayce won the performance - i actually thought bimini was pretty terrible. i couldn’t understand what she was saying because she was so fast in the rap, she was ahead in the choreo + there were times where she was out completely and it wasn’t the editing. i also thought her runway was underwhelming - it was half a wedding dress + her makeup was terrible. i didn’t get it? i love what they stand for + represents, especially who they are as a person but as a drag queen, i don’t rate them. that’s my opinion, it’s neither more or less correct than anyone else’s here. lawrence is a bigger queen so is naturally not going to be able to perform splits and writhe around on the floor. the laws of motion literally equates to her not be able to move as fast as a smaller person so she can’t be held accountable for that. lawrence’s runway was by far the best for me. she looked fabulous + had an actual cute, well thought out, well constructed concept. her lipsync was great too. i don’t always enjoy the “look i’m a gymnast” lipsyncs - which is why tayce was so good at it because she would emote her performances as opposed to looking like she was trying out for the olympics. all four queens were likeable, gave great performances + stood for their own causes. lawrence won 3 badges + was great throughout. she had her moments + wasn’t perfect but who is? she was a self-saboteur, something i know a lot of us deal with. hers aired out because she couldn’t control it, i don’t think that should be used against her. i think it’s really mean spirited to disregard her rather great performance because you preferred someone else + are blinded by the hyperbole. the show as a whole has to be included in the judgment. it would be disingenuous of anyone to defend the first couple of runways for bimini, for example. the football look? was that a winning look? should it be forgotten because of how great you think she turned out her looks after the break? lawrence never once came onto the runway looking anything but polished from the start + up to the end.

my neighbour literally texted me to see what the screaming was - i genuinely thought bimini was going to win so when ru said lawrence’s name i lost it. overall the best queen for me + i think out of them all, lawrence will make the best series. you may have preferred bimini but you can’t say lawrence wasn’t good or didn’t deserve it.

lawrence won that challenge for me, had a lot more to do so i’m not surprised the words were getting lost on her. i didn’t really find the whole thing all that funny? i don’t watch eastenders but i know all the iconic moments. i don’t understand why bimini didn’t have the total slag lines? that was her character. the writing just felt a bit flat. bimini doing well with the same character again, not surprising. i didn’t rate the runway look but wasn’t the worst when they were standing next to tayce - it was panto dame not fairy?! wtf. best thing about the episode was the lipsync choice :wub: i’m #teamlawrence for the final but i would be very very surprised if bimini didn’t win.

this! i thought it was just me being picky but the vocal + the instrumental are miles apart. it sounds like someone’s made a mash-up. that can be easily solved though so i’m not too worried about it. the vocals are so dry, he really needs some backing vocals or some layers because it makes it sound hollow. it’s a good attempt though, better than last years + i liked that! sounds like what british producers are putting out so it’s a great representation.

she literally admitted in the episode she was being shady, had a conversation about it with tayce + ru acknowledged it on the runway. the queens can be funny anywhere, of course, but the way she set up the running order was simply to mess with them + the girls felt some kind of way about it.

also miss ellie wasn’t exactly innocent in all of it.. y’know don’t poke the bear. she knows how to stir it up, she asks all the cutting questions at the right time + for that, you’re to expect shade if you’re being shady. were lawrence + a’whora a little unpleasant to ellie? yes. however, the edit probably made it look worse than it was + they’re allowed to feel a certain way if they feel like they’ve been done dirty - even if you don’t agree with it.

i guess they edited it to seem worse than it was + make her seem a lot worse to justify her being in the bottom. if the rumours are true, the edit could go hand in hand with .
