it was very curious to me that they seemingly swept over the fact that kevin wouldn’t let jamie near the kids or that britney called and left a voicemail saying that she was scared of her father + that he’s threatened to take away the rights to her children. to me, that’s the biggest clue as to why she’s keeping quiet. he has threatened her this whole time with taking the kids away, which is why she stays quiet + conforms. i believe once they are adults, she will have nothing to lose + begin to fight back. the kids can also fight for her - that’s what she’s waiting for.

in that last scene with jill + the mother when she said what she said + it went silent.. i thought i was going to pass out. the emotion.. whew. that scene + episode 3 really were the toughest watches for me. such a hard-hitting drama, a very tough watch but acted so beautifully + made us fall in love with these characters. colin in particular (+ his mum :wub:) was a highlight for me. he was so lovely + i just wanted to cuddle him.

acts need millions of streams to make any sort of impact on spotify/streaming services. even though steps have thousands of fans, there’s not really enough of us to make a dent in the charts without buying physical units.
