  1. Things just got interesting, on Kworb combined I'm pretty sure Bieber is down to around 0.5. So long as streams are all counted though I don't think anybody who's put money on Bieber needs to worry, I'd feel pretty sorry for everybody if they lost out because Chris Evans ended up getting involved.

Does anybody know if there's a physical for the NHS Choir's single? If there's not I really can't understand why anybody is panicking, Justin would need to be at a massive sales disadvantage to stand a chance of missing out, and he isn't.
  3. I really don't think it would be fair on Justin Bieber if he missed out on number one this week. I've never been a big fan of charity songs having the divine right to be number one and Love Yourself is such a good song as well. And that's coming from somebody who still doesn't like Bieber as a person. His musical output has just been outstanding this year. If there's no physical I think the choir will have to settle for number two anyway. Their general market aren't the kind to stream music so I wouldn't be surprised if it even failed to crack the Spotify top 50
  4. I'm really glad to hear, it really stood out to me last night and is the perfect goodbye song as they go off on their 18 month break, I find it so much better than Infinity and think it'll perform really well. Louisa really isn't outselling Bieber at the pace I thought she would, I think it's going to take her getting some big promo spots this week and next week, combined with some element of airplay to have a chance at the number one spot.

I remember it got to the 20s around the week Madonna released Living For Love, the only time I can remember it receiving more posts than the iTunes thread.
  6. I'm shocked at how incredible a week Bieber has had. And yet, even as somebody who was never a fan you can't deny that he deserves this, I listened to Purpose this week and it was absolutely incredible. I also personally love Sorry about five times more than I love Hello, so it's great to see it getting a much deserved run at the top. I'd have been interested to see how close Adele would have gotten to Bieber's eight new entries in the top 40 but now I've found out she's refusing to stream I'm not sure she'll even be able to reach those heights.

I went for between 1.25 million and 1.5 million for her six week YTD sales, 450K this week and more than 14 weeks at number one overall. I can see it constantly popping up at number one in the new year.
  8. Oops, that's very embarrassing. I guess my brain wouldn't split Save a Prayer with Living On a Prayer! I guess I was just in a rush to let people know the proceeds are going to some kind of charity. Anyway Id imagine the song will definitely chart in the top 40 on Friday. It's holding up okay despite the band obviously having a niche market.
  9. Bon Jovi and the band have both announced all proceeds from the song will go to "an appropriate charity" today.
  10. I'd imagine they're not a lock to at least chart in the top 40, considering how well they're performing on iTunes right now, nice touch after Friday's events...

I went very bold with my predictions. I picked it to sell just under 500 K, and for 6 to 10 album tracks to be in the top 75. Justin Bieber has a good few songs from Purpose in the top 75 and I can imagine Adele performing better because, well because she's Adele. I'm mainly curious about how long Adele will stay number one album for consecutively. I'd love to see a poll on that
  12. Honestly I find Sorry so much better than What Do You Mean and I think it completely deserves the number one spot. I guess it depends on the streaming gap. I don't want to rule out Hello retaining its spot as hype builds towards the release of 25 but things look good for Bieber.
  13. Does anybody think it's possible that Jess Glynne could beat both Adele and Justin Bieber to number one this week? I remember last year the much interior Wake Me Up by Gareth Malone's choir managed to reach number one with all the attention around Children In Need and it sold 100,000 copies.
  14. I think One Direction will top the chart with just over 100,000 sales, only scraping the 100K mark by a few thousand copies. Justin will be in second with around 70,000 sales, then Ed Sheeran with 45,000 copies sold. Im not sure where the others will chart but I can see Kyle selling between 10,000 and 12,000 copies and I think Ben will sell around 16,000
  15. I think Cee Lo Green is partially booked to perform because of this 'lifetime achievement' award he's receiving at the MOBOs tonight. I guess because he's being perceived as a big deal at the MOBOs the X Factor have decided to give him a shot as well. I thought Cee Lo's Lady Killer album was quite impressive but at the same time the comments he made on rape were pretty much reprehensible. Though saying that as far as I know he never did what he claimed was okay, but maybe I'm wrong on that.

I can't believe that they still haven't added Justin Bieber yet considering how huge it is already. They really should have taken What Do You Mean off the A List a week or so earlier if it's a matter of believing listeners need a break from Bieber for a while. I guess Cheyanne is never going to smash now. Which is a shame because after the success of Want To Want me I can't understand why his album and second single haven't done well at all.
  17. I love the work you do on here Joseph but I can't help but remind you that you said saying the Vamps would miss the top ten after being number one in the midweeks as a 'laughable suggestion." ;D I actually like Wake Up after my first listen there however, I think it'll do well in terms of longevity
  18. I'm confident Rhodes and Birdy will hover in or around the top 40, its pre-orders have been okay, they've got a bit of promotion lined up and their radio play is quite decent as well. It deserves a lot better but I think all things considering it'll do okay. It's quite a quiet week for new releases, I got excited when I seen a new P!nk song was released but if it's just a theme song for a television show I guess it won't do too spectacularly.
  19. I know data is missing but I'm surprised Sigala isn't a lot closer to Justin Bieber right now, I was convinced Bieber would catch them but now I'm not so sure..

I'm quite pleased with the three A-List additions but listening to Radio One in work every day has made me feel like quite a lot of the A-List is growing stale, surprised Justin Bieber didn't get moved up to the A-List as well considering how big What Do You Mean is turning out to be as well. I'm imagining there will be a lot of surprise at the Score's C-List entry and possibly at Nick Jonas making the C-List as well, also gutted to see Everything Everything leave because I love that song!
  21. How dare that Bieber crony fix the charts and steal number one from REAL music acts, I demand the OCC at the very least do a recount! :D In all seriousness, being somebody who wasn't always massively into the charts I actually didn't know until this week that he'd never had a number one before, What Do You Mean has by far sold the most this week and regardless if you like Justin or his music he deserves the number one position. I'm just curious now who'll win in the battle between him and Sigala next week, nobody has retained number one for a while now.
  22. So glad Intoxicated has stuck around in the top ten, I absolutely love it! Sad to see Felix in decline however, it's strange how radio one didn't even consider adding it to the C-List, I'd imagine they're partially to blame if it now has huge falls every week.
  23. If there's one thing I love about Buzzjack it's how different the various opinions on here are! -_- I'm getting worried now that Sigala might not be number one this week though. I can see his initial sales and pre-order numbers being enough to have them at the top of the chart on Monday before it then falls victim to Bieber's far superior streaming numbers, I expected Sigala to be number one by now...

I'm gutted to see Peanut Butter Jelly removed so early, I honestly thought it would have gained at least another week on there but it's been nice to hear it on the radio quite frequently regardless. There's no other disappointments for me on the list, I'm glad to see Everything Everything hanging on in there and Stylo G not getting snubbed, I find it really catchy for some reason!
  25. I really can't see anything stopping Sigala from reaching number one next week. There's been a lot of hype behind the single and unless Justin or anybody else can get around 80K sales next week I can't see them being stopped. I love how much album sales have improved this week, now I'm curious to see if Foals can end up staying top over The Weeknd, something I doubt many of us expected to see.
