  1. I'm with a few people in not understanding how Aleesha can make her single available "outside of the official chart." It strikes me as such a bizarre move because I like the new song and I'm disappointed it doesn't get the chance to chart naturally which I was still convinced it would
  2. It doesn't have enough time to chart anywhere near the top 40 surely though right? The Andie Case cover of Jason Derulo was around 10-30 for the entire week and only charted in the low 20s as far as I remember, this Are You With Me cover hasn't anywhere near enough time to make the top 40 I reckon
  3. Britney down to 12 now, I'm surprised to see that the song hasn't held up as well as Zedd and Selena did last week. I'm not a big lover of the song and I didn't think it'd do amazingly but I'm shocked it's not even really going to be in the fight for a top ten official placing now
  4. I think Lost Frequencies will win the battle as well, although I expect it to be interesting and close. Mainly Lost Frequencies will win because they're already available for streaming and are picking up steam whereas Tinie and Jess will have to sadly start from scratch. Lost Frequencies is also performing better on pre orders now as well. It'd be interesting to look back at the predictions thread for Lost Frequencies, I think I remember so many of us, myself included felt it'd be lucky to be around the top 20 range, if it loses the battle it'll have done exceptional regardless
  5. I think it'll get a little boost when the 50 Shades DVD is released in two weeks time, maybe just stopping it from falling out off the top 40 for a few weeks.
  6. I think it'll do reasonably well and reach the top ten easily, especially since I discovered last night that it's already available for streaming so hopefully it won't suffer from low streaming sales like some new releases have recently in their first week. I honestly never thought that we'd see Robin Thicke anywhere near the top 40 again, just shows the effect Flo Rida can have
  7. I still think it'll grab number one on sales on around 100,000 but Avicii's release on the same day is going to make it an interesting chart battle! I'm not the biggest Little Mix fan in the world but I like this song, sounds like a proper number one to me!
  8. Sorry, I guess I just assumed because I hadn't heard of them for ages until recently that there would be low expectations for the single, but it's a fair point that Lawson were higher at the end of the week last week, oops
  9. Rixton have done quite well too, coming in at number 14, I'd imagine a top 20 placing for Rixton would be considered a success considering they were written off after that awful follow up to their number one.
  10. 24 for Leona isn't too much of a drop from yesterday! It's nice that she got the play on Radio One as well!
  11. I'm wondering if Lawson being at number three does suggest that some Spotify data is missing? I don't begrudge Lawson their place but I was convinced streaming would push it down a bit?
  12. I found it interesting that they don't count Bastille's Pompeii as a million seller because it's only over a million on combined sales. I guess that means the likes of Love Me Like You Do and Take Me To Church will have a bit to go for official one million selling status
  13. I was about to come here to post the exact same thing! :P This could be enough to finally push Let It Go to million seller status!
  14. I'm not really against streaming per say but does anybody think it'll ever be possible that instead of 1000 streams counting as one single sale it could maybe double to 2000 per sale or even 5000 per sale? It'd help stop songs reaching the all time charts despite being less popular than some of the songs not on that chart, maybe 1000 per sale is just too little?
  15. I have a feeling that poor Will is going to be caught by the end of the week, I can imagine the Vaccines will see their sales spread across the week a lot more. It's nice to have a proper chart battle going on this week despite the lower sales.
  16. I'm thinking the same thing, Taylor's lack of streaming and missing a day of sales on Sunday means I reckon she'll be pretty likely to become the week's sales number one. I think that in the official chart the only people Taylor won't beat are Lunch Money and Omi
  17. I think come the end of the week Taylor will be comfortably in the top 10, which could be bad news for Ella Eyre. It's such a shame Taylor can't make up with Spotify though, I'm convinced Bad Blood could easily have involved itself in the fight for number one this week if Taylor had the benefit of steaming sales
  18. You'd think that record labels would have learned from that situation Omi found himself in recently where the success of a cover version forced them to release the track earlier than intended, although I guess you can argue Omi didn't exactly pay for the mistake... It's still lost sales no matter which way you look at it I suppose! If Taylor didn't have her problems with Spotify I'd imagine Bad Blood could have been a contender for this week or next weeks top three, even without streaming I can still see it possibly cracking the top ten this week regardless.

Seeing Sia being played on radio one 15 years ago shocks me to the core for some reason. Despite the fact I've listened to a lot of her older music and thoroughly enjoyed it it's so strange to see she was current all those years ago. I'm not Cheerleader's biggest fan but the BBC's refusal to put it on their A-list confuses me especially when it's been number one for two weeks and is set for a long run in the top ten on top of that.
  20. Has Snoop Dogg definitely missed the top 40? I guess with him being at the Big Weekend they'd have definitely played it, he must be close!
  21. Is Lethal Bizzle still in the top 40? :P also do you have any idea of the kind of lead Wiz has on Omi?
  22. They've been doing some form of competition all day that triggers when Muse songs are played. Originally I was so confused lol, I don't think the likes of competitions should be included during the already limited chart update! :P
  23. I'm shocked but it's a happy kind of shock! I wonder if Carly's preorders were a little more substantial than we gave her credit for!
  24. Is Ghosttown's official release this week instead of the next one? I just seen on the OCC website that it was released this week but apart from that I've heard absolutely nothing else about it
  25. I'm pretty pleased to see TOL leave the top 20 if I'm honest. It's a weird song with me where I originally genuinely did love it and yet now when it's on I actually reach for the mute button! I think it'll be clinging on to the top 40 for a good while to come still however.
