Bob Dylan
Love some Dylan! Put my favourites out of the ones you mentioned in bold. A few of my all time favourites not mentioned already as well are 'Tangled Up in Blue', 'Not Dark Yet', 'Forever Young' and 'Things Have Changed'.

Blur - The Magic Whip
Was holding off until the album before listening to any more tracks but 'Lonesome Street' came on the radio at work earlier. Looking forward to the album even more now!

Johnkm's ABBA TOP 100
Very interesting read J▼hnkm! Agree with a good 90% of the top ten especially the choice of number one! As a kid my least favourite song was 'The Day Before You Came' and least favourite album was 'The Visitors', but now, the tracks surrounding that era are the ones that I keep coming back to, particularly TDBYC. I used to dismiss the lyrics to The Day Before You Came as silly for being so boring, like they were just writing the first things that sprung to mind. While now, fully understanding the context of the song, I consider it possibly the best lyric and one of the best vocals of their entire career and it's now the lyrics of tracks I used to love as a child that I dismiss as silly.

Barclays Premier League
Cor, that was a good goal from Charlie Adam for Stoke.

Blur - The Magic Whip
Too slow for tickets unfortunately. Otherwise I'd be there!

Nightwish - Endless Forms Most Beautiful
Thanks for the advice! I'll definitely give Imaginaerum a go soon. And promising that you consider it one of your favourites of the decade!

Pop Unlimited is back
Cheers for the treats AcerBen! Nice to see some practically crystal clear TOTP 90s performances there. Back when I had an utterly poor TV reception so bad that it would be lucky to make it through an ITV break without going into fuzzy picture mode or generate hiss. Hope they get shown in their entirety again some day.

ABBA Quickie Rate: The Results
Interesting list! Can take or leave The Winner Takes It All being #1 but pleased Lay All Your Love On Me made it to at least #2. Cracker of a song. Also love The Day Before You Came so pleased to see that so high! If that was the direction ABBA were planning to venture into on the next album, I can only be gutted that they wouldn't see it through for a bit longer.

Florence + the Machine - How Big How Blue How Beautiful
Not keen on the album title if I'm honest. Only heard What Kind of Man so far and it didn't strike me as much as Shake It Off. Love the majority of both Lungs and Ceremonials though so am sure Flo will deliver. Still gutted we didn't get a single release for Breaking Down. :(

Indie/Alt Song of the Year 2014
Nice to see La Roux make an end of year song list with any track from the last album. Excellent in particular that it's the brilliant Let Me Down Gently though. Nice also to see Alt-J's Hunger of the Pine beating Every Other Freckle. A far superior song to anything that accompanies it on the album for me.

Blur - The Magic Whip
Cheers Suedehead! :D nice name btw. ;) Keep hearing lots of positive things about Lonesome Street. Do wonder whether to wait for the album before listening to any other tracks though, I think Go Out will keep me occupied enough for the next few weeks.

Nightwish - Endless Forms Most Beautiful
Used to love a bit of Nightwish a few years back, haven't really heard anything since Dark Passion Play though. I became uninterested in the buildup to Imaginaerium as they were plugging it as the 'soundtrack' to the accompanying film which didn't really sound like my cup of tea. 'The Poet and the Pendulum' is up there as one of their best songs for me and I'm slightly worried that they'll not be able to match that with anything on their last two albums. Will have to give them a go soon.

Best A-Side/B-Side combination
Those that immediately spring to mind: Angelfish - Suffocate Me / Trash It Morrissey - Suedehead / I Know Very Well How I Got My Name Morrissey - You're The One For Me, Fatty / Pashernate Love Garbage - Push It / Lick The Pavement Will probably be able to add more to this after more thought though.

Blur - The Magic Whip
Anybody heard the follow-up tracks Lonesome Street and There Are Too Many Of Us? Not made it onto them yet myself as still taking in Go Out which I think is an ace song! Just over three weeks until the album!
