Results will commence at roughly 8pm. Hype etc. x

Yep! I got stuck at work so may start at 8pm as planned but hopefully not long thereafter.

5 left now...nwd semi 1 you're slacking x

Only two left...let's get a full house please :cheeseblock: EDIT: We have a full house!! :cheeseblock:

I'm quite enjoying watching all the entries chopping and changing positions near the Q/DNQ zone

With just over six hours left to the deadline, we have the following still to vote in this semi: Aesthetica Caerfyrddia Hendinia Jupiterdonia Kluminican Republic Oslol POPHub Singerpurear Trifoski Wholune

With just over six hours left to the deadline, we are still waiting for quite a few votes in this semi: Aeroche Aesthetica Aquafina Cor Lupus D'yermak'er East Rukahavian Kluminican Republic New Lexico Pagasa Persephonia Republic of Adonia République d'Áskorza Summericia Taahino Yehesi

The twist genuinely took me by surprise and it's been a long time since that's happened in EE! Omg this!!! I can already picture Carol showing up in the middle of Christmas dinner and it all kicking off.

!!!!! Omg

Hello was originally the only song available on streaming until each single 'release' so WWWY was only added in around Jan or Feb time(?) when it was officially a single. IIRC 25 itself was added to streaming services around the time she did Glastonbury and Send My Love's single campaign was in full push mode.

Adele vs. Abba would be a bloodbath 😭

Hyping myself so I don't have to announce my own DNQ x

Yep I’m happy if you guys are!

We’ve ended up with 62 with 3 of those still to reconfirm.

Tbf the amount of times Adele has been rumoured to release just before Christmas in the past few years, the papers will eventually be correct! I assume the papers are just finally picking up on the internet rumour that was doing the rounds about AMC scheduling the Adele concert special on December 10th.

Here are details of the four latest vetoes ~ ITZY - WANNABE (English Version) 25 - artist came 28th in BJSC 129 3 *- charted at #6 in South Korea last year 10 *- peaked at #95 on the global Spotify chart last year *- finished 2nd in the Pop Forum Song Contest in May 2020 12 *- appeared in 2 personal charts, neither of which are current BJSC participants *- low to mid level blog coverage *these points apply to the original Korean version of the song, but the English version is not substantially different, only has translated lyrics MUNA - Silk Chiffon (feat. Phoebe Bridgers) 23.75 - MUNA came 34th in BJSC 83, 2nd in BJSC 92 and 29th in BJSC 124 3+12 - Phoebe Bridgers' most recent album charted at #6 in the UK last year 1.75 - appeared in 2 personal charts, 1 of which is a BJSC participant (Doctor Blind) - has a thread in the Indie forum with 4 replies - would classify as at least moderate Internet / blog exposure (covered on NME, Rolling Stone, StereoGum, Billboard etc.) 7 Vengaboys - 1999 (I Wanna Go Back) 17 - artist had 9 UK top 40 hits including 7 top 10 hits in 1998-2001 (4 top 40 and 2 top 10 post-2000, falling just short of threshold as specified under the framework), highest position #1 for 'Boom, Boom, Boom Boom!!' and 'We're Going To Ibiza!' - cover of '1999' by Charli XCX and Troye Sivan 10 - appeared in 4 personal charts, 2 of which are BJSC participants (AH Gold, Kath) - has a thread in the Pop forum with 20 replies, also was in WhoOdyssey's Track of the Week poll receiving 13 votes - moderate Internet / media exposure (release covered on some mainstream news outlets as well as music blogs, also prompted an article on the Official Charts website which was reposted to the BuzzJack chart forum with 13 replies) 7 Prospa - Ecstasy (Over & Over) 8 - artist came 36th in BJSC 115 3 - charted at #77 in the UK last year 5 - charted in the BuzzJack Multichart for 7 weeks last year peaking at #59; appeared in 10 personal charts, 6 of which are BJSC participants (AH Gold, Bré, danG, Doctor Blind, Jade, WhoOdyssey) - was B-Listed on Radio 1 last year (just outside the last 12 months, removed from playlist in early August 2020) - has a thread in the Dance forum with 30 replies - mid level blog coverage - *mod discretion*: technically falls short of the veto threshold but still clearly a well-known song that had mainstream success and significant attention from BuzzJack which is still fairly recent

We're at 57 now, though 4 need to re-confirm.

It took a week but we have our first clash…! We also have vetoes incoming and I’ll be messaging the affected peeps shortly ~

We're up to 52 entrants so far - let's have a few more please! A little over 30 hours left to confirm your entries...

The fact that Cold Heart is about to become a top 5(!!!) The unexpected hit of the year *.*

Talent supporting talent :cheeseblock:

Yep! I’ll update the first post later so it’s up to date.
