The Independent is reporting that the remaining 30-39 age group will be offered an alternative to AZ in addition to under 30s with an announcement to be made tomorrow. The UK should still have enough Pfizer & Moderna supply to reach its target of end of July for all adults having a first dose. For those who are interested in the maths the latest yellow card data was out today - there have been 242 confirmed rare blood clot cases whilst 22.6m first doses & 5.9m second doses of AZ have been administered in the UK. (Notice how they've waited until after polling day 👀)

For West Midlands Mayor, I voted 1st pref Green and 2nd pref Labour. For PCC, I voted Lib Dems 1st pref and 2nd pref Labour (Greens did not field a candidate). (I hope all the Londoners are voting for Binface :o)

UK Ratings Discussion • 2021
12.8m (56.2%) for the final episode of Line of Duty! Massive!! Outside of the PM's various lockdown announcements, I can't even remember when we last saw an overnight rating that high  EDIT: Now confirmed by Lizo Mzimba as the highest overnight audience for a drama (excluding soaps) since 11 February 2001! @1389149901368569859 In terms of highest overnight rating outside of live sport and news events, unless I've missed something obvious, I think it's the last Bake Off final on BBC One in 2016 (14m viewers).

I'm ready for the Carmichael & Chloe spin-off series that we deserve x

Line of Duty • Series 6
Poor Chloe - she solved the 'fourth man' mystery and no one even gave her the credit she deserved x I can't really add anything further other than what's been said - underwhelming but it felt like it could be either final or left open for another series. All of the main strands of the six series have now been wrapped up so they could do another seventh series as a clean break or continue to go down the institutionalised corruption angle. But at least we had justice for queen Lindsay Denton with the two prison bitches FINALLY getting caught *.*

Vigil
The BBC has just released the first trailer of a new drama, Vigil from World Productions (behind Line of Duty, Bodyguard and The Pembrokeshire Murders). Suranne Jones, Martin Compston and Rose Leslie are amongst the cast. @1388840995203207170 No word on when it's airing yet - given we're about to head into Summer I bet they're saving it for this year's big August bank holiday drama premiere (which worked well for Bodyguard!)

The JCVI has already confirmed yesterday that they're continuing to recommend AZ for 30 and over: https://publichealthmatters.blog.gov.uk/202...zeneca-vaccine/ Local GP surgeries in Birmingham and pushing ahead with giving AZ to people in their 30s. I know a number of people getting it this weekend as they've already done a lot of the 40s on a local level here.

OPINION POLLS 2019-2024
I think Survation and Ipsos tend to be the safest bets to take seriously based on their track record comparing their polls to the GE results in the 2010s? I'm sure it was Survation who had the closest final poll for the last three GEs. If it was anyone other than Ipsos and Survation showing the smallest leads of Con +3 and Con +1 respectively, I'd probably think those polls were more likely to be outliers. The wide range certainly makes next week's local elections more interesting to see who is currently in the right range!

It wouldn't surprise me if we get another high profile remix of Levitating - it would probably give it that last push to #1 on Billboard!

Line of Duty • Series 6
I'm struggling to see Carmichael as 'H'...it doesn't square with any of how her character has been written so far and it just feels too obvious to where the writing has been dragging us in the last episode. She may just be out to get Ted (we saw how determined she was to take Ted down last season) / on a power trip this season to assert her new authority. It doesn't seem outside the realms of possibility that Thurwell is still alive and could be 'H' too. Why would they sign up James Nesbitt and have him never appear in a single scene  Unless Jed is just trolling us all. For sure! Kate has always been the 'least bent' of the main 3 AC-12 officers. It would be a bizarre final twist that would make no sense in the development of her character. Her odd behaviour can easily be explained by her trying to get close to Jo this series - there's nothing more to it surely?

Line of Duty with another massive high - 10.9m viewers last night! Up 1m on last week's all-time high :o The final episode may even overtake Harry & Meghan next week (11.3m is the overnight figure to beat)?

Charlie always sounded like she was done and dusted with EE for some time, so I can't imagine she's agreed to come back unless the story is right.

EastEnders
:cheeseblock: I’m genuinely surprised they managed to convince Charlie Brooks to return!! I don’t think they’ll mess with her character too much - Janine is genuinely one of the most popular and iconic characters from the show. They will know there’s a lot at stake in bringing her back. (I hope she’s still rich)
