I don't think it's too much of a stretch he killed Kush - he killed Chantelle opportunistically because she was trying to leave him. Again here, he's killed Kush opportunistically to stop Whitney. He's clearly become obsessed with trying to control her and turn her into the next Chantelle. Since the producers love piling misery on Whitney, she will no doubt become his next abuse victim and he'll probably attempt to kill her but his downfall will happen in the process. Having said all that, it's very cliche and predictable.

7.3m for Call The Midwife (highest overnight launch since 2018) 9.9m for Line of Duty (highest ever overnight rating - previously s6 launch with 9.56m) With an even bigger cliffhanger this week, Line of Duty could cross 10m next week in the overnights!

The Tories are getting an expected bounce from vaccine rollout / re-opening the economy. I don't think we should read too much into it yet. Hopefully the ongoing corruption news will balance that back in Labour's favour over the next few weeks. Whatever happens, Labour will probably suffer in the local elections and hopefully that will focus minds going forward that Keir Starmer's current approach simply isn't cutting through and that last year's gains were probably more down to dissatisfaction with the government's handling on the pandemic rather than satisfaction with Labour.

Yeah, I have to say I think there's better episodes but it was certainly a very good one. The only person who I can think would be "shocking" is Tommy Hunter from series 1. Maybe CS Patrick Fairbank as they randomly showed a clip of him in one of Gail's reports early on in this series IIRC.
