Wow! Even with the hype and build up, that's more than my upper end of expectations. And even more impressive considering the rating in the US was just over 17m (which obviously has a much bigger population).

It will be interesting to see how Harry & Meghan's interview with Oprah rates on Monday night given the best bits will be hammered into the news all day. But also it's been so long since we've had so much promo for a TV event like this - it's literally been a headline on all main news outlets for at least the past week. You can't ask for better promo of a TV broadcast than that? Anything less than 5m would not be great given how much ITV have allegedly paid for the rights to broadcast it.

This week must have been the first time there's been three consecutive nights where the top 9pm programme didn't pass 2m. Channel 5 even won the slot on Tuesday and Wednesday!

Tbh Keir Starmer's comment that 'the budget will look better on Instagram" hits the nail on the head. Where is the support for the NHS? Social care? Schools? This pandemic has highlighted more than anything how badly underfunded our essential public services are. Sunak has just nicked a few headline Labour policies to cover up the bad parts. I'm doubtful the corporation tax rise will even go ahead. Why wait? I'm sure highest 10% of corporations can afford it more than anyone else right now, particularly given our corporation tax is ridiculously low anyway.

I don't think EE has ever done a genuinely good gangster storyline! Even those in 2000s were pretty terrible. Honestly don't know why they keep bothering with them.
