Thankfully no one took part on my street this time. Reviving the clap was a stupid idea (it wasn't a great idea in the first place tbf). What does it achieve? Absolutely nothing. It's just a chance for the Tories and Tory sympathisers to act like they care about key workers when they haven't bothered to give them a raise, any free parking for continuing to go to work and made the UK epidemic even worse through inaction causing them even more stress on the front line. If people want to show their appreciation, do something which genuinely helps/makes their lives easier, respect social distancing, stay at home and wear a fricking mask in public.

BGT filming is not going ahead for the new series. It sounds as if the current aim is either to film over Summer (Covid permitting) to air in Autumn or maybe even cancel this year. I'm not surprised at all - the wheels have been coming off BGT this past year and it doesn't appear to have worked in the Covid world (the last series really missed the big audience / theatre setting for the lives). ITV will have seen flop BGT Champions series, followed by lower rating Covid disrupted series and massive flop Christmas special that barely managed 3m viewers overnight and rightly thought, it's not worth it with the health and safety challenges that they're facing to get the series to air before Autumn.

Take That have 21 years between their first and last #1 singles. They must be leading the field for girl groups though?

I actually think Beat The Chasers is underperforming slightly given how well the main show is rating at teatime. Hopefully it increased last night with more viewers around and a Corrie lead-in. EDIT: It was 4.3m again last night so at least it held up at the same figure. I still think it should be higher! Traces got 3.7m on BBC One which is very good considering it's a show which originally aired on Alibi in 2019 and wouldn't have been acquired by BBC One if not for Covid.

Exactly this - Labour should have been all over this but there's been stunned silence from them for days. It does seem to be a recurring theme of his leadership to just ride the wave of 'I'm not Jeremy Corbyn or Boris Johnson' and not come off the fence on these big issues. It's not good enough at 9 months into his leadership.
