I don't see how the House or Senate can allow Trump to continue in office up to inauguration after this and moves must be made to remove him immediately (whether by the 25th amendment or impeachment) AND must ban him from running for office again. I actually think Beat The Chasers is underperforming slightly given how well the main show is rating at teatime. Hopefully it increased last night with more viewers around and a Corrie lead-in. EDIT: It was 4.3m again last night so at least it held up at the same figure. I still think it should be higher! Traces got 3.7m on BBC One which is very good considering it's a show which originally aired on Alibi in 2019 and wouldn't have been acquired by BBC One if not for Covid.

The November lockdown did a good job of bringing the infection rate down across the country apart from the South East where the new variant was starting to spread in schools and opening up London in tier 2 at the start of December was nothing short of complete incompetence when they knew (no matter how much they pretend they didn't) that a new variant was beginning to spread in that part of the country.

NYE and NYD have been the highlight of the festive period and of the Mick storyline. The affair really did cheapen it and you can feel that in the Mick & Linda scenes on NYD. The Mick & Katy scenes were very well done - I feel there's got to be more to come. We've still yet to bring Frankie into the mix!
