Okay but the only South American teams we have a bad record against are Brazil, Argentina, and Colombia like most of the world...
  3. Spain 1-2 France England 0-1 Netherlands

Switzerland is good though, the rest of England's might be 'flukey' but this wasn't part of that plot. Well done to shake the 'pk doom' off. Great to see Saka redeem the 2021 letdown.

It should have been a 'suspended ban' to a later date like Bellingham's.
  6. Quarter-Finals Spain 3-0 Germany Portugal 0-1 France England 0-2 Switzerland Netherlands 2-2 Turkey

One of the most astonishing saves I have ever seen in a crucial moment.

It's a shame these two couldn't have played France, Portugal, or England and smoked any of the lot.

What Georgia is doing is very reminiscent of Iceland vs. England '16.

Georgia making this interesting for an extended time at bare minimum.

That was a fun watch, but my goodness unless they play a lot better than they did for 94 minutes they'll be run out of the building by a peaking Swiss side

  14. Oops, well I blame it on the fact that sometimes the forum loads in for me and sometimes it doesn't. Let me get the rest of round's scores real quick.
  15. Almost had 2-1 Croatia but my heart was with Albania equalizing so I was torn.

Great counter attack with Walker putting a great cross that was just looking for a foot.

    Dreadful giveaway there, nearly 1-1.

Great set up from Walker and Saka, great header by Jude. 1-0 England.
  20. Nigeria look doomed. There may be too many teams to surpass in the standings at this point! Didn't get a chance to catch the Ghana match but will need to see highlights. Ghana have been having a flair for the dramatic lately.
  21. With the 5th match day in the books, some groups have everything cliched but quite a few still have important scenarios to play out on Tuesday. In Group A, India really needed to find a goal yesterday vs. Kuwait to give them a chance to hold their slim 2nd place lead, but on Tuesday they'll travel to Qatar while Kuwait gets to host Afghanistan. It's likely Kuwait wins that and leap frogs into second place. By beating Syria, North Korea gives themselves a chance on Tuesday when they host Myanmar while Syria travels to Japan. They're behind by a point in Group B. Thailand keeps their slim chances alive in Group C by holding on for a draw in China yesterday. They'll need to beat Singapore by at least 4 goals on Tuesday and hope China loses at South Korea. Similar scenario in Group D, where Malaysia got a 1-1 draw in Kyrgyzstan. Now Malayasia would need a miracle which would be to win by alot over Chinese Taipei on Tuesday while Kyrgyzstan loses a by a few in Oman. The goal difference right now is 8 in Kyrgyzstan's favor. By virtue of Indonesia's home loss to Iraq and Vietnam's late drama to pull out a win over Philippines yesterday, we now see a scenario in Group F where Vietnam could sneak in if they pull off the upset away in Iraq. More than likely Indonesia just needs to navigate a likely win at home versus to Philippines to clinch. We know the following nations will advance to Round 3: Qatar Japan South Korea Oman Iran Uzbekistan Iraq Saudi Arabia Jordan United Arab Emirates Bahrain Australia Palestine
  22. The surprise match of the day was Puerto Rico getting a draw in El Salvador.
  23. Sad not seeing Rashford or Sterling on the squad anymore, they're certainly not too old. I always thought they were more dynamic a pair than people gave them credit for especially English supporters. That's why I inquired about them as someone who doesn't usually follow the England lineup changes that closely.
  24. Alot of very important results today, my goodness! First of Mali, oh Mali losing 2-1 at home with a Jordan Ayew goal in stoppage time. Huge missed opportunity to bury Ghana early and shoot for 1st place. But Ghana showing their mettle. Senegal drops points at home versus Congo DR when they tied it late. With Sudan winning at Mauritania, they take the group lead! The most astounding was Algeria losing at home versus Guinea!
  25. Whatever happened to Rashford?
