UK Live 8 - What a Difference a Day Made BBC ONE TONIGHT at 11pm In Africa 30,000 people die every day because of extreme poverty. The leaders of the world's most powerful countries - the G8 - were due to meet on 8th July 2005 to discuss the ongoing crisis. They were under attack for not doing enough to put a stop to the dying. At the same time the greatest anti-poverty campaign ever organised was gaining momentum... and Live Aid organiser Bob Geldof had a plan. Contains highlights of the greatest performances from the day including U2, Madonna, Green Day, Paul McCartney, The Who, Annie Lennox, Robbie Williams, Coldplay and Pink Floyd.
