going back and forth between this and a slick and fun DIY PC pop track I found that I can be pretty sure none of you know but many will love.

Got a couple of choices for this month, but I'm leaning towards this track that sounds like if The Ting Tings and SOPHIE covered "Like a G6" for a cheerleading mix. It's super high energy and fun! A definite departure from the norm for Aesthetica, but I'd say that for any of top potentials I have for this contest.

I'd be down to co-host with you if the mods want a Halloween spin-off to happen? :)

Got my days mixed up and realized I'll be at work during the plug sesh, so I just submitted my votes!! Had a lot I wanted to vote for, so it was a difficult choice getting it down to the final list.

Slow burners, ones that people will like more with more time to sit on it and having better success in Rejects. That or slowly converting the girls to start liking my music, they can't resist forever! And even if they do? Oh well~

I mean, I got a top 10 within my first year in the contest, so I really have nothing to complain about! I know I can do well when the right song comes along.

I agree, but it will come when the time is right. I know a lot of my taste isn't exactly what the rest of the contest participants are into, so I no longer expect anything and really am just trying to have fun with this again! Even the minimal support I do get on most occasions makes my heart melt, so I appreciate the love :heart:

I had a strong feeling I'd DNQ, I've thrown caution to the wind and have given up on "trying" for a hit. I'm on this new wave of sending songs I truly am in love with, and I'm happy that ANYONE liked it even if the song didn't do well this time. There's always Rejects for my songs to get some vindication. I have a feeling my next few entries will be slow burners, but that's fine. Playing the long game this year~

I had a strong feeling that Spun would get chosen for Aesthetica, although I did hope whoever got me would possibly delve into my Asian artists' discographies and find something inspiring. But oh well, I almost sent that myself in place of Housewife Spliffin, so it's definitely awesome to finally see it in a contest!!! Very excited to see how it and my entry in this do comparatively.

well it was said early on in confirmations that the list looked pretty uninspired so far (at that time). maybe all those "uninspiring" songs (aka artist recycles or whatever) ended up in our semi?

Just looking at the semis quickly, they both look like a good mix of genres! Although I am glad to see my Asian sister nations Daehun and Seyetana both with me! Also have lots of love for Cadelicia's entry, so I'm hoping my track will be able to make it through okay. Speaking of Daehun, though, I totally knew that either you or someone else would've sent that track if I didn't! I would have been more surprised to not see it pop up this contest honestly. Not to show favoritism so early on, but I would definitely pick it as a top contender. It's easily Sunmi's best track to date!
