  1. Best dance track out at the moment. Always gets me a bit emotional hearing it, as it was Annie Mac's last Friday dance show hottest record - such a banger to end on!
  2. +3 Halsey - If I Can't Have Love, I Want Power +2 Ider - shame +1 Jungle - Loving In Stereo

That Rathbone Place track is one of the best dance songs of the year so far! So happy for it to be included in the poll. Also voted for Snakehips and James Blake.

Went for A.G Cook, Boys Noize, Jake Bugg, Slayyyter (thank you for including her!), and YONAKA.
  6. I love seeing some of the outlandish statements people make on this site. "That's it, Dave will definitely be number 1 this week" = it stalls at 4. The same thing happened with the new Olivia Rodrigo track. Ridiculous predictions of 700,000 daily streams when in reality it entered the chart at 27. Don't get me wrong, I love seeing these predictions - who knows, someone might get lucky and guess correctly

In a world where Joel Corry can beat Wolf Alice, anything is possible
  8. Haha sorry for the sarcasm - I couldn't help myself. Hopefully this album will replicate the success of Norman. I've listened to it twice now and it's beautiful from start to finish.
  9. I wouldn't exactly call a song peaking at 58 a 'hit single'

Just when you thought an actually good song might win this poll and suddenly James Newman is in the lead... :puke2:
  11. Purchased!

Maybe we should let this one go. Some battles aren't worth fighting :P

It doesn't sit right with me that the new Joel Corry track will end up beating Wolf Alice. Yes, it's a nice dance track but it's not exactly groundbreaking. The Last Man on Earth, on the other hand, is so exquisite in it's lyrics and production that it blows all of the other new releases out of the water. It's a shame these polls are skewed so heavily to pop/dance; it would be great to see an alternative track get the top spot every once in while. I know I might sound a bit pretentious, but it would nice if a genuinely well constructed and poignant song wasn't beaten by a so-so dance track by a few big names and a house cover of song released in 1978.
  14. I'm sure they will. It was their hottest record on Annie Mac's show on Monday, which is a good sign that it will be added to the main playlist at some point in the future.
