lovely article, I agree also about Christmas carol - that version is one of my two favourites, both are older films
  2. Darius has tweeted and apologised for missing a show due to bad weather -
  3. yes, it was great getting to woking - the show had grown so much
  4. what a shame, i have had flu once and you just cannot get up, i recall that was the year paul daniels was doing panto here, and i had to dose myself up to take the kids, half way through the pills wore off and i started shaking badlyand feeling terrible. managed to dose up again and saw it through, but just wanted to lie down,

yup, i get down seeing the likes of aled, nice chap-but i find his singing boring, releasing yet another xmas album..also that baritone bry..name escapes me as usual was on the other day with an album, singing some standard..all i could think of was how much better d could sing these songs, the baritone sounded awful singing merry little christmas or some other xmas standard far too deep, i am doubting whether a new album will appear, xmas is one mai time, valentines dy, mothers day...would have loved a xmas album with darius singing the standards like merry little xmas, his voice suits them so well

true - but I would have hoped ten years of perfroming would have moved him on from the likes of Wagner
  8. lovely, thanks for that - ahh to think I was in the front row there
  9. just adding 10am?? grief - is that every day, I assumed matinees and the evening was it . do they do 10am performances down here I had never even thought to look

sounds great! glad you got there and back ok

jeesh - fellow reality show contestand Darius - where have they been for ten years! Wagner is a no body who just embarrassed himself on a singing show by being terrible, words fail me! would be better if people just booed Wagner if he gave a bad performance, I am at a loss as to why Wagner has anything to do with Scotland - and why on earth he should be at the celebration at all??? its the shows organisers who have let themselves down by saying he could perform
  12. have a great time! I wish I was going as it sounds an dlooks fantastic from the review and photos - and the added bonus of Darius obviously

yup, its a veritable heat wave - but its meant to be closing in again next week..I bet the shops will be busy as evryone trys to get things in the break in the weather
  14. thanks, Sharon - great pics, it looks really funny and Darius looks as if he is really having fun
  15. I forgive him, on the positive side, a lot of people probably couldnt get there either, it was really sparse in an earlier performance - and -it gave the understudy a go - darius understudies dont usually get a turn. just someone make sure he doesnt leave glasgow again, just reading tweets from people, saying they are tieing roasting tins to their feet to get to the Kings to see darius in Theatre earlier tonight..

yup, BT - I would have been livid if I had made all that effort to find D wasnt appearing! makes it worse that its where he lives, he should have been in a hotel nearby - everyone knew the situation -
  17. I love D to bits, but I too am disappointed in him for this(feel like a mum wanting her son to show his best at all times) he did say he wasnt supposed to leave London while doing west end shows - so I would have thought the theatre would have stipulated likewise especially in this weather, I thought of people like Meg - who could have been trying to get there, only to find he wasnt appearing, there was no notice beforehand saying he had that performance off. I just feel a little embarrassed for D as it is his home town..and this is the first time he has seemingly let people down

11,000 blimey, thats enough - I bet he gets some docked for not getting to the performance!!
  19. typical - after he never misses a performance in London - he misses one in his home town - he should have been in a nearby hotel me thinks

its a shame so many people are missing out - it is such a shame especially if school outings are involved too - my daughter wen tot see cinderella at Oxford today with her school and absolutely loved it - didnt need to know anyone in it, she just thought it was the best! so it iwll be a shame if kids in scotland miss out on their trips. I wonder if they will do some extra shows or try to accommodate school trips that have been scuppered, hopefully the roads seem to be getting cleared from what I saw on BBc news - as long as it doesnt come down again!
  21. i thought the same, i hardly recognised him - i know its cold, but he looks sort of dead in that pic, all his features are weird looking-just not darius lol

sorryto hear that, butas you say - if you had gone through all this and found out the show was canceled anyway you could have gone to all this trouble and ended up stuck in glasgow for nothing..that woud have been worse, plus suppose as they cancelled the flight and the show you can get refunds what a shame, doesnt it all conspire?Darius must be disappointed too,
  23. urrgh, it always causes tension -
  24. sorry to hear about your fall, BT - the pavements always seem to be forgotten in all the raod gritting, i thnk the snow has turned to rain and its cleared round here, but I dread monday if the hill is icy, it is so steep, I may have to take a bag of grit with me for the school walk! it is all too easy to take a tumble

well, unless Wagner proves he can sing opera- he will just be the comedy factor, or people will see him as he is, a Brazilian making a fool of himself and claiming benefits falsey(alledgedly)who was only getting votes to annoy SC - plus it will show that Darius has real talent
