glad I am not alone..I too thought GWTW better, this seemed not a lot of story filled with an awful lot of - tbh songs that went on and on about one thing. darius' pieces added interest and were of relevance but some bits were tedious. OH kept nodding off tbh. I would have prefered more filling, Darius' songs were about the only ones I understood.LOL but then again I do find sopranos grating - and opera isnt my cup of tea, MT for me I am afraid,

thanks nina, you tel the cretin, darius - bout time he told them, he is so right. i did look out for people, i didnt see pam, or meg..who i recognise - ourseats were great, i am glad i chose the ones i did, on the aisle, and on the corner where darius played out the bulfighting, the dearer seats i could have had were probably where pam was on the orchestra end..our view o the whole stage was superb it was so much fuller than i thought it would be, darius put on an fab italian accent, and his opera voice was sensational, it ceratinly boomed out and was a refreshing chage from the tenors et. he held his own and no way would you think he didnt derserve to be up there he just looks so good on stage, it did remind me in places of gwtw, the last bit with the stylised bullfight and freeze frame. i really need to see him in phantom now, i found carmen a bit boring the story was filled to much with songs whihc tbh lyricwise and length went on and on..i think only darius sections and songs . added some excitement, the procession nd bullfight being the highlight musicals please for me

yay, darius was great. what a day,luckily o2 has air conditioning.. it was very busy, - and my dream came true..darius in matador outfit..spectacular. have to add i cant face another opera unless darius is in it a lot more, sopranos...my ears hurt tbh. darius' voice was spinetingling though, he was born to be on stage -mesmerising a s a bullfighter

this is what worried me, I am hoping they turn the mikes up high..its hard to judge from the seating plan how far away we are, as we are in row s of 109, some twent rows back..but not knowing the scale of the stage etc. I porbably wouldnt have gone if the seats werent half price, but it will be an experience to go to the O2 - as long as I hear Darius...I can suffer not hearing the others too well.

I miss this already! we had a bet on about the truth and I won, I just had a feeling that gene had died before fullfilling his lifes potential and all this was about not wanting to give up life, I read a book called Pincher martin long ago, when the same sort of thing emerged at the end of the book. but it didnt start coming together till this series - just loved it! it was such fun working out the clues, although I still wonder about some bits..ie the world wasnt real, but in whose mind was it? as gene wouldnt have even known about quattros or the rough policing of the 70s and 80s - he was in the era of dixon of dock green, as shown at the very end. what will I do fridays now?? it was a high light, have to admit I cried, knowing gene was such the hard man, yet had died such a pointless way before even doing anything..I want it back!!!

I too am not looking for a flawless performance..If it was it would make darius a genius!! do hope he doesnt forget his words though..LOL the O2 is such a huge venue - for someone doing their first opera!!!! I cant find the letters, I can only find the main page for today, ?? is there a link or directions..

ooh, I actually got an email from O2 saying about me going to see carmen and info about eating etc. handy! still worried about its size..the birmingham NEC seemed big enough to me!!

yup, thats what hubby had told me. we are in block 109, row s, - hopefully. never quite trust it until I have tickets in my hand..and I have to pick them up when I get there!!

yay, after much ado - and automated bleeding phone responses I have actually booked two tickets, whatsonstage offer so half price. it is only 40 mins to london and then 20 mins on the jubilee line from baker st. have to collect them from boxoffice.so hope O2 boxoffice is easy to find! it looks a huge place

now, I found whatsonstage half price offer, followed instructions, through ticketmaster coz I thought I oculd trust that one..and it says theres a problem, to check my history or customer service to check order went through..tracking says its not available and no one manning customer service! so I am in limbo - site telling me I have no purchase at present..but as I went through it all twice with a good time interval I darent try again, in case I end up ording three lots LOL ahhhh. I wonder if you just turn up on sunday there will be tickets left..I would imagine so, but hubby may not agree to doing that

still umming but getting that fluttering feeling that I need ot see this O2 or not!..dont want to go on any tiers..anyone know where there are ticket offers? I cant find any that I saw last week, LOL typical! I dont ant to miss any before I shell out full price! strange also that found an offer, but directed to O2 page saying theres 50% off top price tickets..yet no where from the choices shows it..and no where to put the code!!!

I love serious Darius..I love funny Darius really enjoyed the show, and Darius was as eliquent as ever
