Friday Chart Predictions
Rooting for Ethel Cain <3 if Preachers daughter belated vinyl release could go top 10, think the fanbase might be big There are vinyls this time but only 1 variant (black) so not a lot of incentives

Oh my how I hated Craig Mclachlan both in Neighbours + as a singer, Mona was just wrong Close to you is nice enough Would have preferred Roxette rather than Elton at #1, that's the better ballad

Little experiment on Amazon/Alexa
Did a little experimenr using my friends Amazon Music account and Alexa, was curiouswhat was played and if AI was involved. to put it in context my friend mainly listens to alt females like Ethel Cain, Julien Baker, Fiona Apple and doesnt follow current music, didnt know who Ed sheeran or Alex Warren are… Alexa play music: 1 Alex Warren- Ordinary, 2 Ed wSheeran- Sapphire, 3 AlexWarren - Eternity Alexa play music to chill in the sofa: 1 Alex Warren-ordinary, 2 Bruno mars-Apt, 3 Chappel - Pink pony club, 4 Ed sheeran-Sapphire, 5 Alex Warren-Carry you home Alexa play background music for studying 1 Alex Warren-ordinary, 2 Tones&I- Dance monkey 3 Chappel-The giver 4 Alex Warren-Eternity So my conclusions… doesnt seem to be based on what you normally listen… seems random and not 100% fit, I mean, Dance Monkey and The Giver as study songs!! And also very biased for the same artists, 6/12 (50%) being Alex Warren!! Overall, autoplay on Spotify seems much better at least plays related music, this is too random And too biased

The Subway 818 - 450 = 45% drop Manchild 791 - 408 = 48% drop The Giver 722 - 343 = 53% drop all 3 had similar drops, what matters is that the competition was much stronger for Manchild/The Giver, as Ordinary was on ACR

Chappell Roan - The Subway
Genius Annotation: Here, Chappell subtly switches the lyrics of the prior line from “She’s got a way” to “She got away.” While it’s a fairly simple and minor change, the meanings are significantly different. “She’s got a way” indicates that the muse has a charm and allure to her, which attracts Chappell. In contrast, “She got away” suggests the girl is no longer in Chappell’s life, conveying a sense of heartbreak and longing. The repetition and alternation of these lines after another symbolize a loop of the same emotions, fluctuating from captivation to yearning.

Songs/artists snubbed by Radio 1
^haha thought the same. Nu metal is Slipknot not Wheatus. Wheatus were pop rock or alt rock at most

Looking at the first 10 singles, Kylie's performance is amazing, 4 #1s, 5 #2s and a #4, did anyone ever start better with their first 10 singles?

oh very interesting discussion on the indie charts, I've tried a bunch of times to make it make sense bt never managed cos it doesn't seem to match with any chart, sales, downloads, streams, nothing like how can Shaboozey's old song be #4 on the indie charts, it's doing poorly everywhere and if you look at the sales chart there are songs very high like this one, which is 100% an indie label but it's only charting in the sales chart not on the indie chart: SONG THAT I SING BILLY REEKIE
