  1. oh love Torn so much, one of the best pop songs of the 90s, bit unlucky with the timing Barbie Girl is such a silly song but you cannot deny peopl loved it with those sales also liked the Embrace single some hideous songs from Peter Andre and N-Trance covering the worst song of the 80s
  2. Old Phone was released yesterday wasn't it? I mean it was a Thu release, right? could potentially show up on Spotify today strange it's not shown up on Apple yet though
  3. Lorde suddenly big climbing on Amazon #26 now Ed's Old Phone already #33 on Amazon, ka-ching! Amazon: 9 Love me not 10 Benson - Mystical 11 Miley 26 The Lorde 33 Old Phone
  4. You mean a grat? Do grats still exist? Some pre-album campaigns can be very long with multipletracks becoming available to generate preorders but doesnt mean they are singles Surprised his pre-album campaign is so long, the tendency now is 2-3 months
  5. From 1 to 1000000 It sounds 0 Like Kirsty McColl but alas
  6. The Stone Roses had their first chart entry ever in at #36 with She Bangs the Drums I was an instant fan of the band and already bought the album in mid 89!

loving the Barbie pink RBs <3
  8. One of my least fav songs from Kylie, not even sure how I did buy the album on the back of this cos I didn't like it back then and don't like it now, really think it's album filler at best :/
  9. I disagree, think she's both a singles and an albums artist. Also we were discussing if a comeback single would go to #1, which I fear it might not for Taylor
  10. I was only following the singles but not the album charts as a kid so no clue London Boys did so well, also kinda genius album title: The 12 Commandments of Dance :) but @dandy* just curious, you bought the album back then in 89 or later in life?
  11. oh my there have been so many extended, special editions already... per wiki: As part of the album's extended rollout, Gomez made the previously unreleased 2016 track "Stained", available for digital download via her official website on March 22, 2025.[13] Two days later, on March 24, a new special track titled "Talk" was released as a digital exclusive;[14] the song had previously been featured in an Apple commercial to promote the iPhone 16e and interpolates Cake's "Never There".[15] Gomez released the Seven Heavens Version of the album for digital download on March 25, featuring the song "That's When I'll Care" (Seven Heavens version).[16] The following day, she released the Call Me When You Break Up Special Edition, which included the acoustic and extended versions of "Call Me When You Break Up".[17] She further released two digital limited editions, with live from Vevo recordings of "Scared of Loving You" and "How Does It Feel to Be Forgotten" included respectively. On April 30, she announced the deluxe version of the album, titled I Said I Love You First... and You Said It Back, to be released on May 2.[18][19]
  12. I didn't recall the Lil Louis one but just listening and sounds fantastic also didn't know London Boys had had a top 2 album, or even released an album for that matter how many copies did @dandy* buy? :)
  13. oh my double dreadful this week with Bros and Jive Bunny amazed the label greenlighted the Bros single, so terrible and mediocre more than anything I genuinely liked their first 3 singles and When Will I Be Famous is a great single but Too Much is no good, the only redeeming factor is that Sonia beat him and then there's Jive Bunny, oh my I hated them with a passion back then and still do they really killed the rest of 1989 for me

Oh my signed vinyls at her store "100% written in blood" <3
  17. yes underperforming in a very stable way hahah ☠️ actually I think every big name is in danger of underperforming like Ed, I'm sure it would be the same for Adele even Taylor would be in danger... actually with Fortnight, it got to #1 on the power of her gigantic fanbase but the song didn't go viral on tiktok and so the song was not a 10-week #1 I reckon the future #1s will be random songs that go viral on titkok, mostly unknown or little known artists like we've seen in the last few months with the big hits (Messy, Ordinary, That's so true, Sailor song etc)
  18. again Show me love is #2 when combined
  19. They key is playlist support Right Now Lorde has great playlist On Spotify, nothing on Amazon New Benson is the other way around Only the big tiktok hits do well everywhere cos they dont depend on playlists
  20. This week we also had Michael Jackson peaking at #13 with Liberian Girl, the 9th single from Bad, which was released in the UK but not in the US The video had a lot of celebs, including my Debbie Gibson :D

    what over-saturation?
  22. Lorde down to #111 on Amazon, think this is sadly gonna cost her a top 10 place come Friday :/
  23. last week Fri-Mon was holidays, streams will be much higher this week
  24. Last Monday was a holiday, virtually a Sunday in terms of streams, hence the big increase
  25. oh very nice climbs today Love me not up to#4!! Undressed #8, Friends #9, Lorde #11 Charli #27, Damocles #47 Just realised Show me Love is #2 combined!
