Actually one thing we were discussing yesterday at dinner, do Discogs sales count for the charts? cos with RSD releases or any limited release, many of those are grabbed by flippers, you know, people who just get it to resell it for a higher price, usually in platforms like Discogs you should see the ridiculous prices for Taylor-The Lakes single... and same for Taylor-Lover Live so that made me thinking, those who sell it on Discogs, does it count? I mean, it's an official platform, not like selling it on FB market. In my head, it should count, cos it's a sale, but probably doesn't???

Looking at U2's sales, Joshua Tree opened with 230K in week 1 (a record at the time, beating by Bad with 350K later that year) then Rattle and Hum opened with 360K beating Bad, and that was just a few months before Like a Prayer Madonna did 200K in 2 weeks, but what was the pattern like those days? Do you reckon she did 100-100K or more like 150-50K? @Gezza
