I wish we could get a sales figure from the OCC or Music Week for Salute (single), should be around 220k now? Its trickle sales speaks volumes for its wasted potential.

The group has a daily slot dedicated to them in the Daily Mail every day now it seems. Jesy yesterday, Jade on Tuesday, Perrie today. Hopefully! It would be great if the album could stay top 10 right through Christmas! The promo lined up should help quite a bit too I'd imagine, especially if SLS does end up getting pushed as well.

How underrated is Jesy though? From that elusive chanteuse vocal range in I Love You to her sex kitten candy floss vocals in A.D.I.D.A.S. I also can't get enough goosebumps from Leigh-Anne's MOMENT in Love Me Or Leave Me! :wub:

I'm really shocked at how little Salute was supported. That song surely should have been poised to be the group's worldwide smash. I remember hearing it a couple of times on radio when Black Magic was taking off as well.

Oh I meant radio in general not Heart which is even more odd I must miss LMLY in the evenings or during smoke breaks :lol: Yeah I really hope the Christmas Mix can get some kind of push with the RV and hopefully TOTP Christmas performances. It should outsell Salute (the single) quite easily.

I think they needed to make a lot of profit to begin with, with the scrapped album and all? Though I agree this album is doing wonders, the fact they're neck and neck with One Direction... I'd love them to work with Mike Will Made It tbh!

Dropped from the Radio 1 playlist after a good run of 7 weeks, hoping Capital and Heart start playing it a bit more until the RV performance. I still hear Black Magic about 3 times more on Heart (which plays the whole time at our office) than LMLY :lol:

I must say I have been quite dismissive of the album at first but some songs are really clicking with me now, Love Me Or Leave Me, and I Love You in particular I found very forgettable at first but now love. The "I Love You" background vocals at the end are fantastic. Hair is still very annoying for me though, and Lightning which as a 3 minute song would be great - I still find very messy especially the trap breakdown which when I listen to in earphones is actually painful :(

True but would Simon not favour his premiere act One Direction again especially with their "battle" with Justin Bieber at the moment, though I'm not sure they're planning to promote another single soon?

It would be amazing if they could a final slot on The X Factor, but I'm not getting my hopes up after what happened with Little Me last year. I'd imagine they would need to get SLS playlisted on Radio 1 before the Christmas Freeze as well

Yeah I guess calling LMLY a ballad is quite generous, when only its chorus is reminiscent of a ballad. SLS is probably the best option for a slow tempo/ballad single, I just struggle to get behind Jason Derulo's nasal vocal, Perrie basically owning the song and her dodgy enunciation. Like I said in the album thread, it's essentially Perrie Edwards feat. Jason Derulo lol.

As much as I like OMG, it really is jumping on a trend too late with its DJ Mustard tribute beat/Iggy Azalea sound. The girls also sound so annonymous on it, if OMG was played randomly on radio I for one would struggle to recognize it as a Little Mix song! I can see radio hammering Weird People the same way they hammered Black Magic, Weird People is like the Prince to Black Magic's Cyndi Lauper which is the sound this era is about, the chorus chants the album's title - what better way to sell the album? :lol: The music video would obviously also be quite something, the song is made to be performed on BGT and high profile dance reality shows

They're currently promoting this in Japan where it's just debuted at #80 on the Japan Hot 100. Though Jesy is not with because an ear infection prevented her from flying there. Hope she feels better soon. :(

I'm still hoping miraculously they go with Weird People as the 3rd single and promote that in the new year, it's the perfect dance jam. Instead of Perrie Edwards feat. Jason Derulo - Secret Love Song lol.

Both versions #24 and #88 having green updates on iTunes (the second version dark green), I think they're around #17 combined. Here's hoping LMLY doesn't freefall too much before the RV performance, we need another last shot at the top 10!
