It sounds incredible! Surely it's a real song :o

    Where's "High Five"? :(

Wouldn't it be awkward if the last #1 of the year is Beyoncé or Rihanna or something  (hoping it's Ava Max or Mark Ronson because I'm sure they'd be up to perform)
  5. Yeah, however "Baby" isn't much less generic.
  6. That is true, but I'd say overall Julia's vocals are more suited to radio and the average music consumer so that's probably a contributing factor to why "Baby" is doing so much worse than "I Miss You" so far.
  7. "I Miss You" had a more defined song structure and a fair bit more in terms of orchestration and instrumentation, also I'd say its 'drop' was more substantial and catchy that "Baby"'s is. On top of that I'd argue Julia's vocals have a much smoother and more palatable sound than Marina's.
  8. The track with Halsey was good, but the rest of his releases so far have been horribly dull.
  9. I doubt it'd do all that much, imo the track is too nothingy to become a big hit.
  10. Even Brendon's part is crap, what was the need for all that autotune on his voice? Those lyrics are some of the worst I've seen all year.
  11. !!! nailed it
  12. There was me hoping for something at least remotely indie but it seems as though they've completely lost their sound already
  13. I saw James Arthur last year with Ella Henderson and he was very humble and polite to the crowd, puts on a brilliant show live too. For all he's done in the past he seems like a genuinely lovely guy nowadays.
  14. I'd say the conversation has overall been pretty civilised though? Definitely wouldn't call it aggressive.
  15. Dalton's on Spotify.
  16. You've edited your original post now, but your previous statement that Fairytale Of New York "shouldn't be a thing" altogether is definitely an over exaggeration.
  17. Ref. "Fairytale of New York" saying f*****, I am absolutely certain that no offence was meant by the lyric and it wasn't written with the intention of direct homophobia. I'm not in any way defending the use of the word in daily life, when used as an insult it's absolutely unexcusable, but I've never known anyone (including all my LGBT friends) to get offended by the track - I would call it problematic to flag the song up and say it shouldn't be a thing as Kirsty MacColl obviously had zero intention to pick on or invalidate gay people by writing the lyrics. The song was written in a time of serious unrest in Ireland so I would say that the lyric is intended more in a jokey way, as a way of appealing to the masses in Ireland by using traditional language to encourage singing along in a carefree manner. Ultimately, I think there are MUCH more pressing issues regarding misuse of language towards the LGBT community than a lighthouse Christmas song.
  18. It feels too much like a normal Ariana track, doesn't have that proper Christmas party vibe that most of the old Christmas songs do imo :D
  19. "Santa Tell Me" is a tragic excuse for a Christmas song, boo at it being higher than the brilliant "Fairytale of New York". (which is criminally low, as if f***ing BRENDA LEE has more streams than it :()
  20. This is INCREDIBLE holy shit?!?! Please go to #1.
  21. In terms of UK charts at least, latin music has notably faded in popularity and prescence since the start of the year.
  22. "Be Somebody Good" is possibly their best to date  "Movies" is pretty dull though.

I have to say I think the Nations League is ours to lose. Our squad depth is fantastic at the moment and no doubt we'll be even stronger by next summer.
  24. It's pretty good, but it's no "Bad At Love".
  25. "Baby" is by far the poorest of their releases since "Tears". It's probably their most basic structurally and compositionally, and I can't say Marina's vocals are anywhere near as enjoyable as Julia and Demi's were.
