Wonderful art-rock record from this guy that I hadn't heard of until now - a really interesting mixture between acoustic and noise-rock in places. Well worth a listen if you get the chance, similar to The Microphones and Blaenavon.

Hey Dalek, Nice to see Cat Power so high, I need to check her album out. Not a fan of that new Julia Holter record, it drags on a bit for my liking for "I Shall Love 2" is probably my favourite on the album. Lovely to see Freebird II here, perfect choice for the next single :heart: Didn't expect to see Swans here! They've got some awesome stuff. Brilliant chart :D

But then you could argue that huge hits like "XO Tour Llif3", "Congratulations" and "Moonlight" never made it onto Hot Hits... so I only think it's vitally important for pop tracks.

TheNeedleDrop gave "You Won't Get What You Want" by Daughters a 10, his second of the year - I mean come on? The record is dragged out, boring, repetitive, quite uncomfortable to listen to and screams try-hard. One of the weakest of the year for me and for the life of me I can't think what's so good about it.

It's... good. Nowhere near the heights of "Cut To The Feeling" and "Run Away With Me". Production is spot-on but vocally I feel like it could have done a bit more. Strong track but I have VERY high expectations from her because of her last era and it doesn't quite hit those highs unfortunately.

The Benny x Calvin song is probably our best bet for the next #1 tbh.

"Take Your Love" is a hell of a lot better than "Moves", he could have got a top 20 with it.

...not quite atrocious but still a butchering of Gyptian's wonderful "Hold Yuh". Swae Lee being the best thing on this says a lot. Reckon it could challenge for #1 this week?

Hi Danny, Enjoying your #1 - thought "Safe In The Hands of Love" was a fantastic album when I listened to it last month. Just relistened to "Lifetime" because of your chart and I think I'll be playing it a lot more now :heart: Nice to see "I'm Desperate" and "Dark Heart" sticking around too - those two are up there with my songs of the year. Need to listen to the new Rufus Du Sol track, I loved his track "Innerbloom" a while back. Brilliant chart as always!

This is good! A lot more pop than I was expecting.
